Answer:	No, the grips are not specially made to provide electrical insulation. They will provide some level of insulation, but so will paint or masking tape - does not mean it's a good idea, safe, or should be relied upon regularly. If you want to see what properly constructed electrically insulating pliers look like, take a look at Knipex (world's greatest pliers, BTW) and you'll see their regular linesman pliers, cutters, etc., and then ALSO their 1000V rated electrical versions of the same pliers. The purpose-built insulation difference is clear, and they cost a little more, along with more bulk, as expected. I expect that if you are an electrician, you'd invest in the $$$ insulated version, and if you never or rarely worked on electrical things, you'd buy the regular version and take multiple extra precautions, etc. when needing to work on wiring.

Answer:	If they sit out in the rain or water they do but if you wipe them off before you put them up they work realy good and stay rust free
