How to Clean Nail Dust Collector?

1. Tip the filter over to put the dust out at first.
2. Use a hair dryer to clean the filter.
3. Don't wash the filter with water.
4. Replace the filter per 3-4 months.

Answer:	I doubt if there is much of a warranty, except Crescent Tool is a good company. I've beaten nails back in with this thing, abused it heavily and it's solid as a rock. I REALLY Love this tool for pulling nails, brads and stables. Question:	Will this work to pull up staples in a hardwood floor? I'm taking an old rug out & found nice hardwood underneath - need to get the staples out
Answer:	Yes it will work if staple is high enough off floor. I have used it for that. My house had carpeting over hardwood floors and I had to remove the staples holding the padding. If the same problems I had, you will also need a fine blade flat tip screwdriver (to gently pry up staples not high enough) and a vice grip plier with a flat end (needle nose do not work). The vise grips work on the staples that the crescent tool cannot get, but it takes longer.

Answer:	For doing what you're describing the classic tool is a BIG pair of "end nippers" such as Channellock 148-14. It's amazing that a "wire cutter" can be such a great nail puller too.

Answer:	Absolutely. It takes a little technique but once learned it works great. Open the hawa, slam it down so the jaw tips,are below the head of the nail, pry away. It does leave a dent in the wood so it''s not for fine work. It is intended for opening wood crates and un- nailing pallets.

Answer:	Very well, once you learn how. No directions with it. I was holding it straight up and down and trying to get it lined up on the nail head. Since I'm on the back side of 70 and not a contortionist, that didn't work. I was pulling deck nails. Kneel down on one knee and hold the top at about a 45 degree angle away from you. Put the back claw next to the nail head,straighten it up and slam the handle at least twice. That should seat the claw in the wood under the head. Then just push towards the foot. Once you've got a good grip on the nail, extend the handle up for extra leverage. Be careful when you are slamming the handle. Be sure your bottom hand is under the stopper. A picture would have been worth 1000 words.

Answer:	I haven't stretched the tube all the way out because there is no need to, but it would go about 2 feet I think. It can be a little cumbersome sometimes because the tube just sits in the base it doesn't screen into it so it moves while using it but I got used to it. It does a good job collecting dust and while there are a couple of things I would like to be different all in all I'm pleased with it.

Step 1

Use a utility knife or painters 5-in-1 tool to score the top of seam where the trim meets the wall. This will prevent tearing the paint from the wall.

Step 2

Position the Trim Puller's front face against the wall with the sharp edge on the seam where trim meets the wall. For best results start at the end of baseboard strip.

Step 3

Strike the top of the Trim Puller with a hammer or hard mallet, driving the Trim Puller between the trim and the wall. The wedge will begin to separate the trim from the wall automatically.

Step 4

Once the Trim Puller is wedged between the trim and wall, gently pry the trim away from the wall in a twisting motion creating a gap of approximately 4 to 8 inches. Repeat steps 2-4, moving the Trim Puller along the wall in 12 inch increments or as needed. The gap will increase with each pull until removed.
