Key User Features

To open the interior blades, all you have to do is partially open the handles and use the nail nick to rotate the selected blade out and into the ready position. Extend the blades fully to engage the locks, and to release a locked blade, simply push the lock release button located on the outside of the handle.

The regular and hard-wire cutters are located in the plier jaws. The hard-wire cutter is the small notch at the base of the wire cutting area. The regular wire cutters are ideal for softer wire grades, and the hard-wire cutters are great for sturdier materials like fish hooks.

The Crunch is made from 100-percent high-grade stainless steel, and it can be cleaned, dried, and re-oiled periodically -- which is recommended, especially after it's used in a damp environment.

Answer:	Mine came packaged nicely. It arrived in an Amazon box the size of the shoebox. Inside the box were plastic air pillows and the actual Leatherman cardboard box (not plastic clamshell). Inside the box was the tool, the leather pouch and caribiener clip.

The other tools and blade do click into place rather positively, but they could closed unintentionally if bumped with some force. Nothing feels loose or unsafe, however.

Question:	Just got the skeletool cx, but can anyone suggest a good oil to use on the joints ( a little to tough opening
Answer:	In my work environment, I use no oil because it will capture dust and sand. I you are still concerned about it, use dry graphite powder.
Question:	Does the positon of the blade get in the way (no chance of getting cut or stab) while using the other tools
Answer:	When closed position no. When in plier open position (‘using other tools’ per your question), Yes, blade can open about one inch from handle leaving enough space for an entire adult pinkie finger to slide under blade. I own this knife and love it, but this is a major design oversight. I actually use this flaw as a wire stripper which works quite well. The strange part is there is a cut out on the tool allowing the blade to open into this position, it was machined this way. Current owners, try opening yours, notch on blade fits perfectly into handle notch when opening blade about 1” in plier position. . . .

Answer:	Not exactly. What you’ll normally experience is the oil that Leatherman uses, it typically comes off on your hands as black. The black coating will experience wear, from use and just opening it over time. I really like how it starts to look after awhile!

Answer:	They come to a point and are of sharpness and quality (if not superior quality) of any needle nose pliers for working on cars. You can get smaller (sharper / more pointed) from craft stores but that is not what this multi tool is designed for.

Answer:	No it does not. I dont know why you would want one either. It comes with a nylon holster and I work in construction A few guys on our crews carried them. To be honest half carried this multitool in the holster and half in their front or back pocket. I had 2 and I was for work and one was in my backpack for Search and Rescue.

Answer:	The picture is accurate. There are the main pliers, scissors (decent ones for once), & 2 screwdriver on one side of the handle, & a knife blade and a file blade on the othe side. It does have the standard "lanyard" ring, but I think we all know that's not a tool or a selling point. Not sure where it said Awl & can opener but that's incorrect

Answer:	Mine comes with flat pins. Not sure if they come out or not. But I've heard some models come with Philips screws
Question:	Which is the better tool, this Squirt or the 831488 Style PS
Answer:	I like the Squirt better myself. I almost always prefer the original style tools to the skeletool/wave style. Still it depends on what you're going to use it for. Your best bet is to buy whatever has more of the tools you will personally find useful. For example, I personally almost never care whether my MT has a scissors, while for some people the folding scissors is the most important tool. My least favorite thing about the Style is that I can't get a knife and pliers in the same tool. But if say the tweezers are a key part of the tool for you, then maybe you would be better off with the Style PS.
Question:	How does this compare with the Gerber Dime
Answer:	The Gerber Dime is basically the same as the PS4. The Gerber Dime is slightly longer when closed, when open its basically the same size. The Gerber Dime has one flaw which is where they placed the bottle opener, it limits the use of the screw driver. The pro it has over the PS4 is that it uses torx screws to hold it together vs the PS4 uses rivets. Bad for the PS4 since you can not disassemble it to clean it like you can with the Gerber Dime. Other than that both tools are basically the same. Leatherman has a 25 year warranty vs the Gerber lifetime.
