IDEAL INDUSTRIES INC. Circuit Tester for use on 120VAC circuits, warns against faulty wiring in 3-wire receptacles. Tests for correct wiring, open ground, reverse polarity, open hot, open neutral and hot/ground reversed. For wiring configuration testing, verify proper wiring configuration by noting the bulbs lit on the tester. Simply compare the bulbs lit to the legend on the product label to determine the wire condition. If a miswired condition is found, stop any further testing and consult a qualified electrician to rectify the problem. For GFCI testing, operate the test button on the GFCI installed in the circuit. The test light will turn on, indicating the activation of the GFCI test. The GFCI must trip. If the GFCI does not trip, consult a qualified electrician. If it does trip, reset the GFCI. Then, insert the GFCI tester into the receptacle to be tested. Activate the test button on the GFCI tester for a minimum of 6 seconds when testing the GFCI condition. Visible indication on the GFCI tester must cease when tripped.

Question:	What's the difference between "general duty" (61-501) and "heavy duty
Answer:	Nope. That high pitch is just the electricity in the tv going through the circuits.

Answer:	Yes you can use them for that. Up 6 to 8 inches from the plug wrap and many coils of wire that will fit and close the cover on the wire. If have wires that are not bonded together you just do the same for each wire. The power supply needs one on its cord if not already on the cord. Plasma TV's, microwaves, florescent lights, and power transformers are very noisy. Check to make sure your not plugged into a circuit that has one in the same circuit as your game console. That would be a very big noise problem on your headphones.

Does the tester beep when continuity is present

Answer:

Most common is a lead breaking. Catching the loop on a doorknob as you walk by will do that. If you take the rubber boot off the bottom you will see a phillips screw. take it out. Slide the tester apart and you will see the lead connections. Use an ohm meter or continuity tester to test the leads. Knopp sells replacement leads. Getting the slider in the right position when you put it back together can be a bit tricky, but if you shake it a bit as you put it together it usually takes just a couple of tries. I have had one of these in my belt since 1974. If you don't lose it, it will last a lifetime.

Answer:	Hi, Dean!Thanks for reaching out. We know how sometimes those terms and water chemistry can be confusing. So what does a TDS meter detect?The term TDS, total dissolved solids, is slightly misleading. Not everything that is dissolved in water will be detected by a TDS meter. Only ions that have a charge can be measured with this technology. Pesticides and organic pollutants cannot be detected by a TDS meter. About AMMONIA - Science alert!The TDS meter will detect the ammonium in the water, but it is not possible to use TDS in place of a real ammonia test kit.Ammonia exists in two forms at the same time. Ammonia is NH3 and has no charge. Ammonium is NH4+ and has a charge. In water both forms of "ammonia" are present. Test strips measure both forms and report the level as a sum of both. Some kits call it Total Ammonia and some just call it ammonia. The test kits cannot distinguish between the two-the kits just total it up. I can explain how they do that but not in this message :)In acidic water nearly all of the "ammonia" is in the ammonium form. As the pH rises, some of the ammonium shifts to ammonia. There is a ratio of ammonia to ammonium, depending on the pH of the water. If you have an aquarium, you should be using an ammonia test kit made for aquariums.Hope this helps!
