Answer:	I think it would work. I've used it with a variety of materials, usually directly on top of a wooden table. I have not had any problems. There may be the possibility that over prolonged use it could discolor the wood, but using one for weeks at a time has done nothing to my table or to any of my tanks or tubs. It produces a nice gentle heat and I highly recommend it! (Using for baby parrots and hedgehogs.)

Answer:	They don’t really correlate. The mm squared dies are not close enough to awg wire sizes to give proper cold weld results. Don’t believe the table in the photos, google elsewhere for mm squared to awg conversions. You will see they do not correlate well. I have a mm squared compression crimper and am now looking to buy one with true awg crimp dies because I want top quality cold weld results.

Cut the cable you need to crimp with the cable cutter(included). And then strip it with a stripper( not included).

Step 2: Set the lug size

Press the spring die and rotate the gearwheel to the size which suitable for the cable then release the spring to lock it. And there is a size chart on the crimper for your reference.

Step 3: To crimp

Choose the suitbale wire lug, put the stripped wire to the wire lug. Then take a strong pull of the crimper.

Step 4: Done

If it leaves a ridge just rotate the connector and re crimp it which will give it even a tighter bond. All finshed. It will give you a good crimp on cable lugs.

Answer:	No, it is not pre-drilled but it does have triangular welded frame brackets on both sides at the bottom that could be used for mounting with a washer or drilled plate. It seems to work best if you place it on an anvil or other heavy iron mass.

Answer:	I used it for cleaning up the wiring in an RV... worked great with #4AWG as well as stranded copper 2/0 (2 ought). The 2/0 copper wire required two firm strikes, its about 1/2 in diameter.

Question:	Can this tool crimp a solid #6 wire to a 5/8 ground rod
Answer:	Not sure, but I bought mine through the seller "Super buy". There was a non-critical part missing (the spring & ball bearing to keep the pin that holds the dies in place) & they promptly offered to refunded me a few bucks rather than deal with it. I'm quite satisfied with that for a non-critical issue. I'll either live with it, or eventually drill out the hole the pin & bearing fit in & use a cotter pin.

Answer:	The dies do not go that small. To crimp #8 and #6 wire I put two larger dies in backwards, tightened them and drilled a hole between the back side of the two dies for the correct size. This was easy to do and worked well. I assume you can do the same thing for your air hose need. It may take a little experimenting. Good luck

Answer:	The rotating die has numbers 8, 6, 4, 2, 1, and 1/0 stamped into it. Rotate the dies so that the wire/crimp size you're working with is visible at the end away from the handle.

Answer:	Look up cable sizes. 1/0 would be larger than 1awg. After 1awg, its like the numbers go backwards going up in size because 1/0 denotes "0". 2/0 would be 00. 3/0 would be 000, and so on. 3/0, or 000, is larger than 2/0, or 00.
