User questions & answers

Question: What do you need to mount to table
Answer: No it does not have a rubber tip.
Question: What size are the bolt/screw-down holes in the base
Answer: There is no such recommendation that I can find. The manual states the tool requires 60 to 100 psi to function properly. I use mine with a small 2 horsepower, 6 gallon pancake compressor and it works well. To be honest, the pins it fires are so small, they use very little air. My compressor usually doesn't even need to turn on.
Question: What is the biggest distance between two sides (fully opened and still operational
Answer: Yes you can adjust, but the 1 inch depth setting on mine does not countersink and the company has never responded to my email asking them how to fix it.
Question: What metal is the vise made of
Answer: No, it works ok but you get what you pay for. This is a chinese made pinner, I have two of them and they work well initially but then soon begin to malfunction. If you are doung a lot of pinning you would be better off spending a bit more for a better quality pinner.

Question: Are the replacement screws v shapped or cyclinder shapped
Answer: Great for trim & detail work with mouldings. Dab of glue, shoot a pin & let it dry. Headless pins are so small in diameter that filler is almost never needed. The finish used usually covers the pin holes. Good luck!
Question: Can you please tell me what the distance on center the mounting screw holes are
Answer: Yes. It will leave virtually no mark. And I would use adhesive caulking as well.
Question: What are the actual dimensions of this? It looks as if it will fit another vise I have and was curious about the length and hole location
Answer: Not sure what you are asking. I have the 18 and 23 gauge nailers and they are both great.

User questions & answers

Question: Will these fit a 6" wilton vise
Answer: The Yost pipe vice jaws are removable. These are not. I assume there are many differences.
Question: what are the screw specs
Answer: Seller comment of 4/17/18 interesting - yes, it'll absolutely "accept" 1/4" bolts, but with a lot of potential free play (at least on the unit I received they would). The four (4) holes on mine measure 1/2" exactly (maybe the factory makes different bases with different size holes, another customer used 3/8"?) So BUYER BEWARE - I'd recommend you check the unit you receive, because now you unfortunately have 3 answers! Easiest way is to just use a drill bit to size the hole. I just mounted mine on my bench and I can tell you that without question on the unit I received, 1/2" bolts fit PERFECTLY with no free play. Whether you use lag bolts to screw directly into wood or bolts with washer, lock washer and nut will depend on where you're mounting yours. On my bench, 3 of the 4 ended up being lag bolts screwed directly into wood their full lengths (I used 2 1/2" long bolts to really bite into the wood and hold firmly) and 1 of the 4 was into just the bench top, so I used a bolt with flat and lock washers, and a nut on the bottom.
Question: How far apart are the holes
Answer: The vice is sturdy enough, and you should have no problem provided that the table into which the vice is installed is sturdy enough.
Question: Do you have a blueprint for these ? I need to replace jaws on an old vise that I don't know the brand or model number
Answer: IRWIN 4935505 has rotating pope jaws.
