Remember, the pipe is not included. Go to Home Depot, Lowes, or another hardware store to have the pipe cut and threaded. The last ones I bought were for a specific project and I bought pipes that were 5' long. |

| Answer: | They are identical except for the length. The difference in cost is likely due to supply and demand. I purchased 12" Besseys to add to my 8" ones only because I built a custom workbench and the top is thicker than my old work bench so the 8" can't be used to clamp things to my workbench. The 8" are still quite useful for woodworking activities though so wouldn't get rid of them. That being said if I wanted more and the long ones were cheaper then I would buy the long ones again. |

| Answer: | While this does not directly answer your question I hope that it helps. I purchased both the 8 and 12 Bessey KliKlamp from Amazon (direct and Prime) in October of 2013. The price I paid was $9.98 each for two 8 inch and $17.99 each for two 12 inch models. I am not sure why the price is now $25 for the 8 inch version. That being said these clamps stay unused in my tool tray as my go-to clamps are the Bessey all steel Rapid Action clamps (4" and 8"). These are the best clamps I have ever owned. They are more than double the cost of the KliKlamp but in my estimation are well worth the additional investment based on their ease of use and unparalleled clamping power. The KliKlamp feels lightweight and cannot provide the same clamping power. I hope this helps. |
