Question:	Can masking tape be used on side dispenser? I know that it couldn’t on the spool but was thinking it might be able to on the side
Answer:	This is a very high end, quality bread knife. However, it is robustly made, super sharp and should be able to cut through frozen food. But, I would not recommend it as it will dull the knife and being serrated (and hard stainless), it would take an effort and skill to sharpen it and bring it back to it's original condition. Plus, I think it would make it a less than fantastic knife to cut bread.
Question:	Will 1 inch width tape fit on the side dispenser
Answer:	The major differences appear to be the weight, balance, and tang/handle shape. I have the synergy and it has a large tang with the top of the handle being all metal. As a result, the knife handle is heavier but it balances well. When you grip the knife by the handle during use, it will balance perfectly on your index finger. As a result though the Synergy weighs 8.8 ounces and the Premio weighs 5.6 ounces. Holding both knives, you'll definitely notice the weight difference. Balance is a matter of individual preference. The Synergy puts less strain on my wrist when holding and using it, but may be more work for my arm muscles because of the extra weight. I occasionaly travel with my knives so for that purpose I'd probably prefer the Premio knives over Synergy. In terms of the blade/cutting edge, I can't tell that there's a difference between the two.
Question:	So it will only automatically cut tape into lengths of 1.5 inches? You can't choose your own length
Answer:	No, this is the wrong kind of knife for that - it is perfect for cutting tomatoes and citrus. Serrated edges wouldn't work well with chicken breasts.
