3 best peel and stick backsplash for kitchen 12x12
Peel and stick backsplash tiles are a popular and convenient way to add a decorative and functional element to your kitchen walls. These tiles are typically 12x12 inches in size and are designed to mimic the look of traditional ceramic or glass tiles. Here's what you should know about peel and stick backsplash for a kitchen:
Easy Installation: One of the main advantages of peel and stick backsplash tiles is their ease of installation. They are designed with adhesive backing, allowing you to simply peel off the protective film and stick them directly onto the wall. This eliminates the need for messy glues or grout.
Variety of Designs: Peel and stick backsplash tiles come in a wide range of designs, colors, and patterns. You can choose from options that resemble subway tiles, mosaic patterns, or even textured and 3D tiles. This variety allows you to find a style that complements your kitchen's aesthetic.
Durability: While peel and stick tiles are not as durable as traditional ceramic or porcelain tiles, they are designed to withstand the typical wear and tear of a kitchen environment. They are water-resistant and can be easily wiped clean, making them suitable for use behind stoves and sinks.
Cost-Effective: Peel and stick backsplash tiles are generally more affordable than traditional tiles and require minimal tools and labor for installation. This makes them a cost-effective option for updating your kitchen's appearance.
Temporary or Permanent: Peel and stick backsplash tiles offer flexibility. They can be used as a temporary design solution or as a long-term fixture in your kitchen. If you decide to change the look of your kitchen in the future, you can easily remove them without causing damage to the wall.
Surface Preparation: For a successful installation, it's essential to have a clean, smooth, and dry wall surface. Any imperfections or irregularities on the wall may affect the adhesion of the tiles. Sanding and priming the wall may be necessary in some cases.
Cutting and Trimming: You may need to cut or trim the tiles to fit around corners, outlets, or other obstacles. This can be done with a utility knife or scissors, making the installation process relatively straightforward.
Maintenance: Maintaining peel and stick backsplash tiles is relatively easy. Regular cleaning with a mild detergent and a damp cloth should suffice to keep them looking fresh.
In summary, peel and stick backsplash tiles are a DIY-friendly and cost-effective way to enhance the look of your kitchen. They offer a wide range of design options, are easy to install, and can be a practical choice for homeowners looking to update their kitchen decor without a major renovation.

User questions & answers
Question: | My basksplash is 30 year old 1 x 4 oak and is in rough shape. how do i deal with the top (3/4 in) edge |
Answer: | I would fill with plaster or some similar patching compound after dry, lightly sand and seal the surface with primer-sealer |
Question: | Can they be placed over wallpaper |
Answer: | Yes, that is what we did, in the shower area |
Question: | Does this subway tile have a plastic appearance to it on the wall |
Answer: | It worked great for the project we had. We used on the back wall of an upper cabinet with no doors to display dishes. It looks great at a distance but I don’t know if I would want it for a backsplash. All in all it’s a great product. |
Question: | Are these tiles removable? I live in an apartment |
Answer: | It really depends on the surface they were installed on. They are easy to remove with little to no damage for most of the walls (for smooth ceramic tile / wallpaper / wall panel (acrylic) / mirror , they are totally no problem, we do not recommend to remove from the walls have the painted and refreshed many times). To make it easy, use a blow dryer to warm up each tile to soften the adhesive and pull softly starting with the corners. Use a cleaning product to wash the wall and remove any excess glue left by the peel and stick tiles. |

Question: | How many tile pieces in a package |
Answer: | I have never tried it ! Sorry |
Question: | how thick is the tile |
Answer: | Never used it with filled cookies |
Question: | Has the brown mosaic style 2 been discontinued? I bought a pack a month ago and finally had the chance to install it but need another pack. Help |
Answer: | Yes. That’s what I did. However, I was unable to use the stamps with the tube and plunger. I had to use the stamps separately. It’s definitely a bit tedious, but they do make cute designs with the right dough. Shortbread cookie dough is a good option. Dough that has even a little stickiness would not work well. FYI, I couldn’t even get the stamp out that came with the tube/plunger. I just threw all of that away and used the stamps separately. |
