Answer:	Diamond Hard RePurpose Satin Enamel is a premium quality, water-borne acrylic coating that demonstrates exceptional adhesion, and durability, to a variety of substrates. RuPurpose is a great choice for melamine cabinet fronts, and also for your cabinet sides (veneer, laminate, finished wood, etc.). The key, of course, is surface preparation - the surface must be clean, dry and free of all dust, dirt, grease, oil, wax & polishes, and other surface contaminants that may inhibit the adhesion and performance of Repurpose. Although not absolutely necessary for adhesion, after cleaning surface I always recommend a slight "scuff-sanding" of melamine, or plastic laminate, with a very fine paper (220 - 350 grit) to create a "profile" for a greater, and faster, mechanical bond to these surfaces. RePurpose dries very quickly, and reaches maximum hardness & adhesion in approximately 7-10 days - during this time, handle painted items gently, and do not subject to cleaning surface for 2 weeks after application. Care & Maintenance: Use only a soft rag or sponge & mild, household detergent for cleaning surfaces painted with RePurpose (recommended Dirtex Powder, Soilax Powder, or other low-sudsing, phosphate-free detergents). Do NOT use abrasive cleanser (Ajax, Comet, Soft Scrub, etc.) as they may damage the acrylic film. Do NOT clean painted surface with "spray-type" cleaners, such as Fantastik, Formula 409. Answer:	Hi, and thank you for your inquiry... At Majic Paints, we really don't manufacture anything that we could recommend, or would be suitable for use on a sink. Magic RePurpose is a premium grade acrylic satin enamel, that exhibits exceptional adhesion to a variety of surfaces, and substrates, and provides excellent protection and durability to those surfaces painted with RePurpose. Unfortunately, Diamond Hard RePurpose is not designed for surfaces subject to immersion, or submersion, areas/surfaces designated as "wet" areas. I hope this info is helpful - again, thank you.
Question:	Do you need a compressure with this
Answer:	Majic RePurpose is solid acrylic enamel that offers excellent adhesion to a host of surfaces, including properly prepared ceramic tile, plastic shower & tub surrounds, melamine and other difficult substrates...having said that, RePurpose is NOT recommended for surfaces subject to immersion, submersion or "wet" areas (such as shower stalls, etc.). Frequent exposure to harsh chemicals (e.g. lime & rust-stain removers, grout cleaners, etc.) and strong, or abrasive, "scrubs" may soften, or damage the film.

Answer:	In most cases, no. Majic Diamond Hard RePurpose has excellent adhesion to a wide list of substrates without the need of a primer. The reasons a primer may be recommended are (a) when making a drastic color change, (b) painting over un-sealed surfaces that may result in extractive staining (e.g. over certain woods, water-stains, crayon, etc.), or when painting over surfaces subject to rusting & corrosion (bare ferrous metal, etc.). Surface prep generally requires that the surface be clean, dry and free of any surface contaminants that may inhibit the product's ability to adhere to the surface. (Hint: Although not necessary for adhesion, a light "scuff-sanding" of glossy, slick surfaces, aids in even greater adhesion to the surface + better hiding & a more uniform application of the finish product).

Answer:	The hose is about 48" long, plenty long....but I had to glue the hose into pump because it comes apart to much and easily...nice spray unit! Lots of power.

• Paint is “thinned” by adding the substance upon which the paint is based.
• If it is water-based paint then water is added;
• if oil based then mineral spirit or manufacturer’s recommended thinner is added.
• If the paint requires thinning, start with a 10% dilution of the paint.
• To do this, partially fill a container with one quart of paint.
• The viscosity cup supplied with the unit holds 1/10 of a quart. Block the hole in the viscosity cup with your finger and fill up with the required thinner.
• Add the thinner to the paint and stir, and re-measure the viscosity.
• If the paint requires additional thinning, repeat this step by adding 5% (5% will be equal to half a viscosity cup) with the required thinner until desired viscosity is achieved.
• If mixing larger batches of paint, for instance a gallon, then add four viscosity cups of appropriate thinner which is approximately 10% of a gallon.
• If further thinning is required repeat by adding two viscosity cups (approximately 5% of a gallon) until desired viscosity is achieved.

Answer:	I believe the past cans were blue, they had the old style nozzle. The new cans are a dark color and the nozzle in those cans gave me nothing but trouble. But don't be fooled by the ad, they show blue cans but they sent me the dark cans.

Question:	what size fan tip is this
Answer:	X5 comes with a 515, and has a Max Tip Size of .015" (i.e. 215, 315, 415, 615). It is not recommended you use a tip size higher than .015 due to the HP & Amps not being sufficient for proper flow rate & application -- putting a larger tip size does not ensure proper application, and MOST on-the-shelf latex paint will go through a .015 tip, with the pressure adjusted accordingly. HAPPY SPRAYING!
Question:	can it be used on 240 volts power supply
Answer:	US 220/240 volt is a dual line split phase - therefore if you need 110volt you only use one load line instead of both along with the neutral or common and a ground line. So in the US you could but would need an adapter line made to your 220 plug. In Europe they use a single phase / single load line and if this machine were used there it would require a power converter (rated to at least 1500 watts continuous) to step the voltage down from their 220v to the machines 110v.
Question:	What is the difference between this Graco X5 model and the Graco Magnum LTS
Answer:	There is a difference. The X5 base (the legs) is metal. The LTS 15 has a plastic base.
Question:	Has anyone actually used the 0.017-inch tip on the Graco x5 model with exterior latex paint? Home Depot says must use 0.015" tip or else it will clog
Answer:	Graco says max tip orifice size for this unit is 0.015, which is based on the flow rate of their standard finish tips. Just make sure the unit's flow rate (x5 is 0.27 GPM) meets or exceeds the rated flow rate of the tip you're buying to be sure. You can go up to 0.016 with the x5 if you're using Graco's Fine Finish tips since the currently available 516 and 616 fine-finish (green) tips are rated at 0.27 GPM (which matches the x5's output capacity). Also, you *must* check the data sheet for the paint you'll be using to ensure you're using the right tip orifice size. For example, Sherwin-Williams Emerald exterior acrylic satin (K48 series) specifies a tip size of 0.015 - 0.019 for airless spray application. Note that the maximum recommended tip size for this unit is also the minimum tip size required for the Emerald paint, so in this scenario, you *must* use 0.015 and nothing else. Any smaller will clog and any larger will result in a poor paint finish with ugly trails at the top and bottom of the spray pattern because the sprayer won't be able to maintain a high enough pressure to atomize the paint properly.

Answer:	I bought the product for the pipes ony motorcycle. It should work in just about any surface and is good for high heat application. It is not a flat finish but neither is it glossy. It is a metallic finish. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Juan~ I used the copper spray on top of the copper wrap but you wouldn't have to. The spray is basically a high-heat spray paint. You can put it on any surface. The copper wrap wears to a grayish color where my Bonneville pipes are at there hottest. Hope that helps!

Answer:	I didn't see any problem as low as you have the right paint. Just protect against over spray on things you don't want painted.

Answer:	Electric sprayer. But it is airless, you just plug it in to a 110 outlet...put the suction hose in a 5 gallon bucket of paint...and paint away!
Question:	If using outside, what sort of over spray does this create? I live on a busy street and don't want to end up getting cars parked nearby with overspray
Answer:	I've been a painter for over 20 yrs and used many sprayers, any paint atomized to spray will float 200 ft and stick to a car with very little breeze. Buy .01 mil plastic and cover any cars within 200 ft in the direction of any breeze, it the wind is blowing towards your back yard, paint quick before it changes direction. usually spray will settle within a 10 to 20 ft area from an outside wall with the most paint being in a 3 ft area below the wall. Plastic is cheaper than painting a nice car for someone else !!!
Question:	Can this spray benjamin moore advance paint (waterborne alkyd paint) unthinned? if yes, what size tip do i use
Answer:	The max spray tip is the key. I have a Graco X7 Magnum Pro and my max tip size is .017. This is found in the last two numbers of the number on the tip. So a tip marked 517 would mean that the spray tip orifice is .017. The “5” is half the width of the spray fan pattern. So the 517 tip would spray a pattern that is 10 inches wide (5 x 2) and would spray a paint that requires an .017 orifice which is a very thick paint. The orifice size requirement can be found in the paint specifications. This unit comes with a 515 tip, and I could not find the max tip size but I suspect this is it — .015 — which is a big orifice and can handle almost all latex or oil based paints but I would not use oil base in a sprayer because of clean up. Much easier to run water through it for clean up than mineral spirits. I am currently painting my deck and I’m using Sherwin-Williams Super Deck product which is thicker than normal paint, and I’m using a .015 spray tip. I’m using a 315 on the railings to limit overspray and conserve paint. The 315 will give me a 6” spray pattern and the .015 is within the manufactures specifications for this product. I could have used a .017 but it would have put out a lot more paint and made it a little more difficult to control overspray and conserve paint. I hope that helps. This is a great sprayer at a very good price, but follow the directions and make sure you clean it properly and use pump armor when stored.

Answer:	Why would you want to waterproof terra cotta pots. They were made to breath.

Answer:	Maybe Slightly Thinner than warm Syrup, So probably between Warm Syrup & Water. A word of advice though, I had an extremely difficult time working with this product & had to sand and reapply many coats to get a satisfactory finish. It dries fast & if you run a brush over it after is has sat more than a minute it will create rough brush marks. Additionally if you apply more than a very thin layer it will crack similar to a crackle pattern. Unless you are putting this over a pure white background I would recommend that you use the standard "Crystal Clear" non-water based urethane. It has only a light yellow tint and is much easier to work with in my experience.

Yes, you can spray oil based paints, but you’ll need to make sure to use the proper spray tip. This sprayer comes with the 1.5mm, 2mm and 4mm tips of which you would use the 1.5mm for oil based paints, stains, polyurethane, etc. You can also purchase separately the 1mm tip for such things as sealer and varnish to obtain an even finer spray. Please note that there is also a 2.5mm and 3.5mm tips available as well. The suggested use for all these tips are explained in detail on page 5 of the manual. The Super Finish Max uses precision brass spray tips and nozzles, which provide superior performance over their plastic counterparts.

With 450 watts of power, combined with an adjustable air cap, the sprayer atomizes paint into tiny particles. These tiny particles are what is necessary for a fine factory-like finish.

Competitor's units can only spray chunks of paint, which after a couple of coats resembles a rough, paint roller-like finish.

Question:	Does this clog often
Answer:	I have been using it for several months and the nozzle is not clogged. Because this is a brass nozzle, not plastic. Also, pls remember clean it after each use.

Question:	Can both latex and oil based products be used in the same spray container and how do you clean after using oil base
Answer:	Normally, I do not recommend that latex paints and oil-based paint products are not cleaned after using one kind of paint, and use the other directly. After using the latex paint (or oil paint), put the corresponding thinner in the container, then install the container on the product, and perform a similar operation as spraying to properly clean the container (The purpose is to clean the remaining paint in the containers, pipes and nozzles). Then remove the container and clean.

Warm Tips:

1. Before using, please choose proper copper nozzle, spray patterns. Check if you have tighten up the container and paint tube; In addition, we recommend that you test on cardboard or wooden boards before spraying important items, such as walls or furniture.

2. Please add some water(or paint thinner) to dilute the paint and stir to ensure that your paint passes smoothly through the viscosity cup within 100 seconds and meets your requirements.

3. After finishing spraying put the corresponding thinner in the container, then install the container on the product, and perform a similar operation as spraying to properly clean the container (The purpose is to clean the remaining paint in the containers, pipes and nozzles). Then remove the container and clean.

4. Please wash the sprayer gun immediately with the brush. All parts of the paint sprayer are detachable.

5. Most importantly, please read the product user manual carefully before using it.

Question:	Can I take a air hose and blow the gun out after using this and be finished
Answer:	Never thought about that. If you flush with water until it is clear a blast of air would probably finish the inner surfaces, but there are other air passages involved that can get clogged. The little brush is for that and for visible paint build up in the nozzle area. These don't need to be cleaned every time unless you point the sprayer too steeply down with the cup full. Then you will have a little mess that you do not want to let dry in there. A small blower tip for focused blast of air might help.
Question:	The kit shows a new pick up tube for attachment to spayer. my kit did not include one was it supposed to. thank you i have misplaced mine

Question:	Can this be used with the homeright super finish max extra sprayer
Answer:	Yes, the Rapid Clean can be used with the Super Finish Max paint sprayer, but you may need a separate pick up tube attachment for it to work. Please call our customer service department at 800-264-5442 so we can send you the pick up tube.
Question:	Will this clean oil based paints? If not is there a way to use solvent with it
Answer:	I have this and never use it. Pour some solvent in the can and spray it out. Works for me.

Answer:	No, you need to take it apart to clean it well or the paint can't dry over time and make it not work properly.

Answer:	So far, we have been unsuccessful with tracking down extra cups for ours. Love the sprayer so much though!
Question:	How long is the cord
Answer:	Probably about 10 feet. I used an extension cord too.
