Question:	Can i paint kitchen cabinets with this paint sprayer
Answer:	I didn't see any problem as low as you have the right paint. Just protect against over spray on things you don't want painted.

Answer:	Electric sprayer. But it is airless, you just plug it in to a 110 outlet...put the suction hose in a 5 gallon bucket of paint...and paint away!
Question:	If using outside, what sort of over spray does this create? I live on a busy street and don't want to end up getting cars parked nearby with overspray
Answer:	I've been a painter for over 20 yrs and used many sprayers, any paint atomized to spray will float 200 ft and stick to a car with very little breeze. Buy .01 mil plastic and cover any cars within 200 ft in the direction of any breeze, it the wind is blowing towards your back yard, paint quick before it changes direction. usually spray will settle within a 10 to 20 ft area from an outside wall with the most paint being in a 3 ft area below the wall. Plastic is cheaper than painting a nice car for someone else !!!
Question:	Can this spray benjamin moore advance paint (waterborne alkyd paint) unthinned? if yes, what size tip do i use
Answer:	The max spray tip is the key. I have a Graco X7 Magnum Pro and my max tip size is .017. This is found in the last two numbers of the number on the tip. So a tip marked 517 would mean that the spray tip orifice is .017. The “5” is half the width of the spray fan pattern. So the 517 tip would spray a pattern that is 10 inches wide (5 x 2) and would spray a paint that requires an .017 orifice which is a very thick paint. The orifice size requirement can be found in the paint specifications. This unit comes with a 515 tip, and I could not find the max tip size but I suspect this is it — .015 — which is a big orifice and can handle almost all latex or oil based paints but I would not use oil base in a sprayer because of clean up. Much easier to run water through it for clean up than mineral spirits. I am currently painting my deck and I’m using Sherwin-Williams Super Deck product which is thicker than normal paint, and I’m using a .015 spray tip. I’m using a 315 on the railings to limit overspray and conserve paint. The 315 will give me a 6” spray pattern and the .015 is within the manufactures specifications for this product. I could have used a .017 but it would have put out a lot more paint and made it a little more difficult to control overspray and conserve paint. I hope that helps. This is a great sprayer at a very good price, but follow the directions and make sure you clean it properly and use pump armor when stored.
Question:	Will it make Sharpies run if you use it over them on a hard/non porous surface
Answer:	In my yes.
Question:	Will this work on a porous surface like a painted coconut bicycle cup holder
Answer:	Probably not.
Question:	Will this work to water prof terra cotta pots
Answer:	Why would you want to waterproof terra cotta pots. They were made to breath.
Question:	How is the viscocity out of the can, is it more like warm syrup or more like water...or somewhere in between? Thank you
Answer:	Maybe Slightly Thinner than warm Syrup, So probably between Warm Syrup & Water. A word of advice though, I had an extremely difficult time working with this product & had to sand and reapply many coats to get a satisfactory finish. It dries fast & if you run a brush over it after is has sat more than a minute it will create rough brush marks. Additionally if you apply more than a very thin layer it will crack similar to a crackle pattern. Unless you are putting this over a pure white background I would recommend that you use the standard "Crystal Clear" non-water based urethane. It has only a light yellow tint and is much easier to work with in my experience.

Answer:	It should. I put this gun on an old Binks Superbee and it just screwed on with no issue and worked as it should. The only issue I had with the gun is that it has a safety lever that kept activating as I changed positions with my hand to spray under eves. I've considered removing the safety but probably will just struggle with it. For the cost of this gun it is pretty hard to beat. I was spaying a penetrating oil which is pretty thin and had no leakage problems described by other users. You do have to make sure that the nose (where the spray tip) is properly secured.

Question:	Will this run off 220 volt? ( I will be purchasing in U.S. but using at home in the Philippines
Answer:	No! It has a 120VAC motor. You would need a transformerr to drop the voltage from 220 to 120. Also, you probably also have 50 Hertz AC power while these are designed to run at 60 Hertz (used to be called "cycles"). If that's the case, buy paint rollers and brushes!
Question:	Can you spray stain blocker
Answer:	I've used this sprayer with KILZ stain blocker, you may have to add some FLOOD paint thinner but pay attention to how much you add to the size of can you are using, and only if your sprayer does not spray well with the stain blocker off the shelf. Also consider using a different tip if you don't get the results you desire.
Question:	What do you recommend to clean it if someone forgot to clean it out after using it? Mineral spirits
Answer:	Totally depends on paint used. Water for latex, mineral spirits or paint thinner for oil based, or lacquer thinner for lacquer based metal paints.
Question:	Is the hose included? Can't believe the specs don't say. If it is included, what is the length of the hose in the box? Thank you
Answer:	The hose is NOT 100' long it is shipped with a 25' hose. The unit is designed to allow use of 100' of hose. The wheels will not let the unit roll around freely without tilting it back first so they are not the problem on a scaffold. That said, I would still discourage putting the pump on a scaffold.

Question:	what size fan tip is this
Answer:	X5 comes with a 515, and has a Max Tip Size of .015" (i.e. 215, 315, 415, 615). It is not recommended you use a tip size higher than .015 due to the HP & Amps not being sufficient for proper flow rate & application -- putting a larger tip size does not ensure proper application, and MOST on-the-shelf latex paint will go through a .015 tip, with the pressure adjusted accordingly. HAPPY SPRAYING!
Question:	can it be used on 240 volts power supply
Answer:	US 220/240 volt is a dual line split phase - therefore if you need 110volt you only use one load line instead of both along with the neutral or common and a ground line. So in the US you could but would need an adapter line made to your 220 plug. In Europe they use a single phase / single load line and if this machine were used there it would require a power converter (rated to at least 1500 watts continuous) to step the voltage down from their 220v to the machines 110v.
Question:	What is the difference between this Graco X5 model and the Graco Magnum LTS
Answer:	There is a difference. The X5 base (the legs) is metal. The LTS 15 has a plastic base.
Question:	Has anyone actually used the 0.017-inch tip on the Graco x5 model with exterior latex paint? Home Depot says must use 0.015" tip or else it will clog
Answer:	Graco says max tip orifice size for this unit is 0.015, which is based on the flow rate of their standard finish tips. Just make sure the unit's flow rate (x5 is 0.27 GPM) meets or exceeds the rated flow rate of the tip you're buying to be sure. You can go up to 0.016 with the x5 if you're using Graco's Fine Finish tips since the currently available 516 and 616 fine-finish (green) tips are rated at 0.27 GPM (which matches the x5's output capacity). Also, you *must* check the data sheet for the paint you'll be using to ensure you're using the right tip orifice size. For example, Sherwin-Williams Emerald exterior acrylic satin (K48 series) specifies a tip size of 0.015 - 0.019 for airless spray application. Note that the maximum recommended tip size for this unit is also the minimum tip size required for the Emerald paint, so in this scenario, you *must* use 0.015 and nothing else. Any smaller will clog and any larger will result in a poor paint finish with ugly trails at the top and bottom of the spray pattern because the sprayer won't be able to maintain a high enough pressure to atomize the paint properly.

Question:	How loud is the motor when turn on
Answer:	Pressure gauges are not necessary if you have some sort of gauge in your air system allowing you to adjust the air pressure. However, having a gauge at the gun will allow better and more consistent control of pressures recommended for the products your spraying, which will help you with achieving the desired results.

Answer:	I bought this to spray primers and it works very well for that task but for bases and clears I'm not sure how it would do. I wouldn't recommend it simply because of the fact that it has a 1.7 mm tip which is too large for bases and even clears so if you do decide to go with this brand gun I'd suggest going with a 1.4 mm tip. I personally own a Finnex FX3000 with 1.4 mm tip to spray base and clear coats and I LOVE that gun. Works great, sprays smooth and the design is awesome, very comfortable in the hand.
Question:	Can I use it to spray primer and stain
Answer:	With the nickel finish you'll generally want paint with thinner, otherwise stuff gets gummy on the inside, use thinner and clean well and you'll be golden. On long work projects I recommend cleaning after 60-90 minutes of use then resuming.
Question:	Twice this thing sprayed me in the face when I went tried to spray with it after priming the machine. Anyone else have this happen
Answer:	I used to use a 1.7 and I would thin latex paint for kitchen cabinets. Makes for a little bit of a finer finish but the 2.0 would work great. Something to consider though, with the experience I have had using over the years with these sprayers they work great, no complaints BUT I recently upgraded to an airless sprayer (a Graco unit from Home Depot). It's definitely a little more expensive on the front end but if you plan to spray anything including kitchens with a little frequency it cut actual spray time down significantly. It took a tenth of the time to spray the same sized kitchen with our graco unit vs the neiko. Good luck!

Answer:	Typically yes. The TrueCoat 360 VSP can spray most materials that can be cleaned with water or mineral spirits. Check the back of the can of paint to see what the manufacturer recommends for tip size. The TrueCoat 360 tips have a 0.015 inch orifice. Thanks.

Answer:	yes, I just used it on a windsor settee, took all of 5 minutes to paint it. Perfect finish. Use a smaller tip than the one supplied with the spray gun, however. The standard tip puts out too much material for furniture and cabinet work.

Answer:	Apply first coat with a synthetic brush; pump-up garden sprayer; air-assisted; and/or airless sprayer. Use 15-17 tip and medium to coarse spray pattern. When spraying, always back brush for best results. Second coat can be applied once first coat has penetrated but is still damp. Second coat must be applied within one hour of applying first coat.

Question:	can this spray upside down
Answer:	Yes
Question:	How long does the battery last before requiring a charge
Answer:	Time-wise, probably an hour of straight use. I was able to paint 3 closets, Primer, 2 coats semi on the trim, then switched to flat for walls and then pulled the doors and sprayed them 2 coats semi as well....All on one battery. It comes w/ 2 batteries and they charge pretty fast so it's a great tool. Mind you there was battery run in there for cleaning and switching the sheens. Awesome tool for small jobs (Shutters, doors, bulkheads, lattice, trim and small projects, lacquer, poly, etc. ) Know your tips and coatings before using. There is a lot to spraying rather than just aiming and spraying a film.
Question:	Where can I order the ultra max tip guard from
Answer:	The tip guard is Graco part number 246215. This is different than the tip, which is any Graco RAC X tip. This guard on this spray is also different than a regular RAC x guard as it is a smaller diameter and made of plastic instead of aluminum(presumibly due to being able to spray flammables).
Question:	What are the differences between the ultramax & tc pro
Answer:	besides the obvious differences is the types of products the ultramax vs TC pro you have one minor difference that is overlooked. The TC pro is a brushless motor. I am guessing the brushless motor design is why the TC Pro can safely spray the more exotic materials without fear of explosion since there are no brushes to create an arc and ultimately a fire. Typically, the brushless motors are a little more efficient than the brushed design, but I have just started using the TC Pro so I will have to see after some usage.
