Question:	Is this an electric sprayer or do you need an air compressor
Answer:	No air compressor is needed. It is electric powered, not air.
Question:	Do I need an air compressor for this? Or is this a stand alone tool
Answer:	The base unit has a blower or low-pressure compressor built in, no external compressor required. Make sure the base is sitting where it will pull in clean air, no dust or debris.
Question:	can this be used for oil base paints
Answer:	Yes. Cleaning oil-based primer took forever to clean because you must use mineral spirits and be sure to get every bit of it off the interior parts. Cleaning latex-based primer and paint out of the sprayer with soapy water was much easier but still time-consuming, especially since I tried to get every bit of primer/paint off the outside of the sprayer and pump in case I want to sell it if we ever finish the kitchen-painting project. I am an almost elderly homemaker, amateur painter, and I was able to use it successfully.
Question:	Has anyone use it as a Spray tan system
Answer:	I have. The turbine has similar specs (i.e. correct pressure and airflow) to some other HVLP spray tanning systems; however, for me the cup size was too large and spray pattern on the included nozzle made it difficult to not overspray. I purchased a wagner "spray tan cartridge attatchment" aka "Wagner Detail Front End Kit" (ASIN B00FDZDO32). It works ok but the cup size is still fairly large and tended to overspray . I have since replaced that gun with a "Maxi-Mist Spray Tanning Gun Replacement Lightweight" ($35 on ebay) and am happy with the results even though I had to adapt the hose to fit. Maxi-mist's MaxiMist™ Evolution TNT Spray Tanning System looks like the wagner painted all black and I wonder if the front end gun ($50) is compatible. I don't use this professionally but can say its works, especially with a purpose made gun. I got best results with the pressure set just above minimum.

Question:	Can both latex and oil based products be used in the same spray container and how do you clean after using oil base
Answer:	Normally, I do not recommend that latex paints and oil-based paint products are not cleaned after using one kind of paint, and use the other directly. After using the latex paint (or oil paint), put the corresponding thinner in the container, then install the container on the product, and perform a similar operation as spraying to properly clean the container (The purpose is to clean the remaining paint in the containers, pipes and nozzles). Then remove the container and clean.

Warm Tips:

1. Before using, please choose proper copper nozzle, spray patterns. Check if you have tighten up the container and paint tube; In addition, we recommend that you test on cardboard or wooden boards before spraying important items, such as walls or furniture.

2. Please add some water(or paint thinner) to dilute the paint and stir to ensure that your paint passes smoothly through the viscosity cup within 100 seconds and meets your requirements.

3. After finishing spraying put the corresponding thinner in the container, then install the container on the product, and perform a similar operation as spraying to properly clean the container (The purpose is to clean the remaining paint in the containers, pipes and nozzles). Then remove the container and clean.

Question:	Is there alot of overspray like a traditional sprayer
Answer:	Diamond Hard RePurpose Satin Enamel is a premium quality, water-borne acrylic coating that demonstrates exceptional adhesion, and durability, to a variety of substrates. RuPurpose is a great choice for melamine cabinet fronts, and also for your cabinet sides (veneer, laminate, finished wood, etc.). The key, of course, is surface preparation - the surface must be clean, dry and free of all dust, dirt, grease, oil, wax & polishes, and other surface contaminants that may inhibit the adhesion and performance of Repurpose. Although not absolutely necessary for adhesion, after cleaning surface I always recommend a slight "scuff-sanding" of melamine, or plastic laminate, with a very fine paper (220 - 350 grit) to create a "profile" for a greater, and faster, mechanical bond to these surfaces. RePurpose dries very quickly, and reaches maximum hardness & adhesion in approximately 7-10 days - during this time, handle painted items gently, and do not subject to cleaning surface for 2 weeks after application. Care & Maintenance: Use only a soft rag or sponge & mild, household detergent for cleaning surfaces painted with RePurpose (recommended Dirtex Powder, Soilax Powder, or other low-sudsing, phosphate-free detergents). Do NOT use abrasive cleanser (Ajax, Comet, Soft Scrub, etc.) as they may damage the acrylic film. Do NOT clean painted surface with "spray-type" cleaners, such as Fantastik, Formula 409. Dirtex Spray, etc.) as these products may contain solvents that soften, or remove, acrylic coatings. There is no need to polish or wax a RePurpose finish as continued applications may soften the finish.

Answer:	Hi, and thank you for your inquiry... At Majic Paints, we really don't manufacture anything that we could recommend, or would be suitable for use on a sink. Magic RePurpose is a premium grade acrylic satin enamel, that exhibits exceptional adhesion to a variety of surfaces, and substrates, and provides excellent protection and durability to those surfaces painted with RePurpose. Unfortunately, Diamond Hard RePurpose is not designed for surfaces subject to immersion, or submersion, areas/surfaces designated as "wet" areas. I hope this info is helpful - again, thank you.
Question:	Do you need a compressure with this
Answer:	Majic RePurpose is solid acrylic enamel that offers excellent adhesion to a host of surfaces, including properly prepared ceramic tile, plastic shower & tub surrounds, melamine and other difficult substrates...having said that, RePurpose is NOT recommended for surfaces subject to immersion, submersion or "wet" areas (such as shower stalls, etc.). Frequent exposure to harsh chemicals (e.g. lime & rust-stain removers, grout cleaners, etc.) and strong, or abrasive, "scrubs" may soften, or damage the film.

Answer:	In most cases, no. Majic Diamond Hard RePurpose has excellent adhesion to a wide list of substrates without the need of a primer. The reasons a primer may be recommended are (a) when making a drastic color change, (b) painting over un-sealed surfaces that may result in extractive staining (e.g. over certain woods, water-stains, crayon, etc.), or when painting over surfaces subject to rusting & corrosion (bare ferrous metal, etc.). Surface prep generally requires that the surface be clean, dry and free of any surface contaminants that may inhibit the product's ability to adhere to the surface. (Hint: Although not necessary for adhesion, a light "scuff-sanding" of glossy, slick surfaces, aids in even greater adhesion to the surface + better hiding & a more uniform application of the finish product).

Question:	Is there a lot of over spray, could you spray in a finished house
Answer:	There is not a 'lot' of overspray, but there is always going to be some. I haven't used other types of sprayers (airless or compressor type) but I suspect they are much worse in this regard. You can spray in a finished house (I did) but you still want to mask and protect the surrounding area .

Answer:	This gun is a non-bleeder, which I prefer. You can pull back the trigger slightly to get some "dust off" air stream, however.

Answer:	pick up a small, cheap air brush compressor and pressurize the cup using 1/4” vinyl tubing. Shazam youre atomizing ANYTHING. Manufactures used to make these units, but they found it it was much harder to make your own turbine unit without the special 6 stage units they told you need. The ones they had made specially made and price protected by the vacuum motor. I’ve painted my entire life and now own my own Ben Moore paint store. These 4, 5 and 6 stage units are new the past few, five years give or take, turbines have been around for decades, so you figure it out. If you’re still not sure you should probably listen to the ones trying to sell you something. good call!

Answer:	There is a slightly different approach for oil based paints. Instead of using warm water to clean the unit, you'd use a cleaning solvent like mineral spirits.

Answer:	The Super Finish Max should be able to spray it with no thinning required, but extremely thick paints may need to be thinned down slightly. Spray your paint on a piece of cardboard to test for the right paint flow.
Question:	Does this require a compressor
Answer:	No, the Super Finish Max does not require a compressor. It is a plug-in unit, which means all you need is a standard power outlet.
Question:	Will this spray rustoleum oil based paint
Answer:	Greetings! If you go to https://www.homeright.com/products/super-finish-max-extra you will see the link to download the manual for this terrific paint sprayer! Yes, you can spray oil based paints, but you’ll need to make sure to use the proper spray tip. This sprayer comes with the 1.5mm, 2mm and 4mm tips of which you would use the 1.5mm for oil based paints, stains, polyurethane, etc. You can also purchase separately the 1mm tip for such things as sealer and varnish to obtain an even finer spray. Please note that there is also a 2.5mm and 3.5mm tips available as well. The suggested use for all these tips are explained in detail on page 5 of the manual. Thinning may be necessary and you should do so based on the paint manufacturer’s guidelines. Question:	How hard is this to use? i want to repaint my dark kitchen cabinets white. i haven't ever done any painting with a spray gun. can i learn quickly
Answer:	So I painted my kitchen cabinets last year with it. I never used a HVLP sprayer before. I did not spray over my old cabinets. I build new doors from Maple stock sander them down to 320 grit before I started painting. I thought that the best paint to use would be a oil base paint. So this is what I bought and realizing that I would have to thin it with paint thinner (not more then 10%). First I primed them with an oil base primer then started to use the finish coat. So it didn't go so well at first you have to figure out the volume of paint to allow to flow from the gun. I found with the oil base paint that 1 1/2 turns open from closed or 1 1/4 turns worked best. You spray one direction and then the other direction. I would paint them, let them dry over night and lightly sand them with 320 grit. This gets rid of any imperfections in the finish. Then apply another coat and followed this process for 4 coats. I ended up with an almost perfect finish. But that is not good enough. See now that you have this perfect finish anytime you scratch your finger nail against the paint it leaves a mark. So to solve this I applied a clear poly coat from Minwax. Sprayed it with the paint flow valve only 1 turn open since it is so thin and can be sprayed without thinning. Same process as with the paint but sand with 400 grit instead, Applied 4 coats and my doors are scratch free and easy to clean. I painted the outside of the cabinets with a latex paint and brush. Since you don't see much of them it makes little difference to use a sprayer. I have since become very good with this sprayer and do many projects with it now with confidence. If you use a latex paint I find that Sherwin Williams works better then Bear and you have to thin Latex paint since it is much thicker then oil. Oil paint is just a pain to clean up and it smells so you can't use it inside. When you are ready to paint setup a small spray booth in the garage or outside, make a turntable if you can so you move the work and not your position. You have to make sure you keep as much dust out as possible. Wet the sides of the paint booth and the floor. I used my garage and also put plastic up on the outside of the doors to keep as many insects as possible out. I had to refinish several doors do to small a insect getting stuck on the paint. My brother in-law told me that there is a paint you can use with a brush that flows at the right rate and dries with a tile look. I did see these online for $100 gallon. Oh I used a 1.5 needle in the sprayer. Good luck it is fun to spray once you master it.

Answer:	Thanks. Here's what I found out - they have a major distribution deal with Wagner. The cap & needle sets are readily available. The needle only parts are coming soon. You can order direct from the 800 number in the manual. The sets are $49, and I didn't learn the needle only price. They'll all be available through Home Depot and channel sales this year.

Answer:	I have only used this for refinishing cabinets and furniture. Have to be careful tho, sometimes it spirts.

Answer:	The Fuji Semi-pro 2 would be a very good choice. I am 72 years old and appreciate the Fuji's fairly lite weight and compact turbine. The gun and whip hose are easy for me to handle. I chose the gravity gun and appreciate its comfortable center of gravity in my hand. It is easy to manipulate around corners and tight spaces. You didn't mention the type of material you will be spraying thru the gun. The Semi-Pro gives best performance with water-borne and solvent-borne finishes. It isn't really made for heavier finishes including latex and other paints. I have been very pleased with the nice buttery finish the Semi-Pro applies. I hope this helps with your decision. Answer:	There's relatively NO overspray! I've been using an hvlp gun with and air comp. for years, over spray everywhere!! I had to cover the whole work area! But with the Fuji it's great, (I finish and paint cabinets for a living) all I had to cover is about two feet of the wall and floor and spray and in the next room my customer is reading the paper, with no disturbance of over spray. WOW!! I love Fuji!!

Question:	Can this bottom feed gun be converted to gravity feed
Answer:	The T-70 can be converted into a gravity feed spray gun using the #9960 U-Tube Conversion Kit. Since the U-tube is meant for the Fuji Spray M-model spray gun, teflon tape may be required around the couplings to avoid leaks.
Question:	What makes this system $400 better than the Fuji 2002 or 2003 systems
Answer:	I purchased a Mini Mite 4 and it is not priced At $ 400.00--- $766.00 on Amazon. Reviews on line indicated the Mini Mite 4 capable of spraying heavier paints with better results. That is the reason I purchased----and am happy with the results.

Answer:	It would if you had the right needle/cap/knozzle and thinned your paint

Answer:	No, not with the gun that is supplied. I don't think you could fan down the spray enough to avoid over spray. I think there is a "detail" type gun that you can get for system that might work for trim that's in place. You'd probably still have to do some taping??? Sorry

Answer:	Yes you can buy a replacement cup. The instructions manual that comes with the paint gun has a parts list. Go to the Campbell Hausfeld web site.

Answer:	Yes you can paint walls with this gun. But it may take a while since the canister is only 600 ml. The gun requires a compressor that can deliver 4.5 CFM at 40 PSI. The operating pressure is 45 - 50 PSI. The maximum inlet pressure is 80 PSI
Question:	Can I hook this up to siphon directly from the paint/stain container or will I have to spray a quart at a time
Answer:	You will not be able to attach this directly to a the paint/stain container. But you can use it with a pressurized paint tank. These can be found at paint supply stores, hardware stores, or online
Question:	I’m thinking of buying this for diy furniture projects at home, I have an air compressor, is there anything else I will need to purchase to operate
Answer:	We would also recommend an inline dryer and filter system. This for removing any moisture or debris from the airline that can contaminate the paint. These should be installed as far from compressor tank and as close to the spray gun as possible. The part number for the general purpose filter is PA212103AV. The part number for the dryer is PA208503AV.

Answer:	I didn't see any problem as low as you have the right paint. Just protect against over spray on things you don't want painted.

Answer:	Electric sprayer. But it is airless, you just plug it in to a 110 outlet...put the suction hose in a 5 gallon bucket of paint...and paint away!
Question:	If using outside, what sort of over spray does this create? I live on a busy street and don't want to end up getting cars parked nearby with overspray
Answer:	I've been a painter for over 20 yrs and used many sprayers, any paint atomized to spray will float 200 ft and stick to a car with very little breeze. Buy .01 mil plastic and cover any cars within 200 ft in the direction of any breeze, it the wind is blowing towards your back yard, paint quick before it changes direction. usually spray will settle within a 10 to 20 ft area from an outside wall with the most paint being in a 3 ft area below the wall. Plastic is cheaper than painting a nice car for someone else !!!
Question:	Can this spray benjamin moore advance paint (waterborne alkyd paint) unthinned? if yes, what size tip do i use
Answer:	The max spray tip is the key. I have a Graco X7 Magnum Pro and my max tip size is .017. This is found in the last two numbers of the number on the tip. So a tip marked 517 would mean that the spray tip orifice is .017. The “5” is half the width of the spray fan pattern. So the 517 tip would spray a pattern that is 10 inches wide (5 x 2) and would spray a paint that requires an .017 orifice which is a very thick paint. The orifice size requirement can be found in the paint specifications. This unit comes with a 515 tip, and I could not find the max tip size but I suspect this is it — .015 — which is a big orifice and can handle almost all latex or oil based paints but I would not use oil base in a sprayer because of clean up. Much easier to run water through it for clean up than mineral spirits. I am currently painting my deck and I’m using Sherwin-Williams Super Deck product which is thicker than normal paint, and I’m using a .015 spray tip. I’m using a 315 on the railings to limit overspray and conserve paint. The 315 will give me a 6” spray pattern and the .015 is within the manufactures specifications for this product. I could have used a .017 but it would have put out a lot more paint and made it a little more difficult to control overspray and conserve paint. I hope that helps. This is a great sprayer at a very good price, but follow the directions and make sure you clean it properly and use pump armor when stored.

Answer:	Maybe Slightly Thinner than warm Syrup, So probably between Warm Syrup & Water. A word of advice though, I had an extremely difficult time working with this product & had to sand and reapply many coats to get a satisfactory finish. It dries fast & if you run a brush over it after is has sat more than a minute it will create rough brush marks. Additionally if you apply more than a very thin layer it will crack similar to a crackle pattern. Unless you are putting this over a pure white background I would recommend that you use the standard "Crystal Clear" non-water based urethane. It has only a light yellow tint and is much easier to work with in my experience.

The output increases and lessens the burden on the motor. You can go without adding water to thin it however there is a difference in output and you can smell and hear the motor working much harder.

Answer:	I was going to buy the Semi-pro 2 but jumped to the Mini-mite 3 because it comes with the T series gun, same as Fuji's high-end sprayers, while the Semi-pro 2 comes with their M series gun. I've never used the Semi-pro 2, but I'm getting fantastic results from the 3 and I think the additional power and the better gun were worth the extra money.
