Answer:	My wife who has normal size hands commented that the holes were a little smaller than our old scissors. Given that, I doubt that these would work for your husband.

Answer:	If it’s 420, it’s stainless. It’s generally considered a low quality steel for blades, but actually very stainless. There are some companies who actually make great knives from 420, so anything is possible. Shape and tempering will have as big of an impact on quality as type. 420 is actually used in diving knives because of its resistance to rust. Buck makes knives from 420 that are considered outstanding by enthusiasts. It’s a complex topic really.

Clean & Prep

Remove any hardware, wash surface with soap and water and let dry. Remove any loose paint or rust and lightly sand glossy surfaces for better adhesion. Primer is not required for most surfaces, but recommended for bare wood or wood high in tannins such as redwood, mahogany and fir.

Brush On

If primer is used, wait 2 hours before applying finish. Stir thoroughly to re-disperse any settled pigment. Use a high quality synthetic brush to apply light even brush strokes. For each coat applied, allow 2 hours before next coat.

Top Coat

Once last coat dries for at least 8 hours, apply topcoat for extra protection. Apply 1-2 light even coats, waiting 2 hours between coats.

Question:	Whats the ingredients? Can they be used on fabric
Answer:	Because color is subjective and relies on lighting etc I would say to me it is true white - without a cream tone - but that is just how I see it

Answer:	I know there is movement to chalk paint everything (including fabric). If the faux leather is actually a microfiber material it may work, but if it's a vinyl type leather, I personally wouldn't paint it. I don't believe it would adhere well or withstand repeated use. If the material is an actual fabric, there are better paints you could use. You could actually buy fabric paint, or use a latex/acrylic paint and buy fabric medium. I believe Martha Stewart makes some. The reason I shy away from chalk paint on upholstery is it's very absorbant and I think it would stain because it would not really seal well (and it would be stiff). I have only ever painted curtains (I painted large stripes with rustoleum spray paint). The material is stiff, but no one touches them, and they look great 5 years later. I guess if you're willing to ruin it, try it. That's what I tell myself before I do stuff. Or do a small, inconspicuous area and see how it does.
Question:	I was planning on using this on my toilet seat lid. It is a hard plastic. If I sand it a bit, do you think it would work
Answer:	I find those expensive boar bristle brushes good for chalk style paints only if you're after that deeply textured brush stroke look. I'm not a fan of that look. I use the Rustoleum Chalked Paints quite frequently and by far, my favorite brush is the Wooster foam brush. It looks alot like the super cheap foam brushes, but it leaves an incredibly smooth surface and can be washed and reused over and over. If you want a more traditional brush, go with a mid-road synthetic like the Wooster short cut (I swear I don't work for wooster). I also dilute this paint and spray it in an HVLP sprayer for large projects, and it works beautifully!

Answer:	No. The people who are saying yes are not thinking this through. Toilet seats should not be painted with any kind of paint. It will stick, but when you scrub the seat to clean it, it will eventually come off like any paint. This is why things like toilet seats, bathtubs, the insides of sinks, etc., are not painted but enameled, or else made of material that is already colored (like colored plastic). Trust me--I have seen sinks and bathtubs painted in a strange Alaskan apartment complex. It is a bad idea.

Answer:	A little does go a long way, but you will need to apply two coats. If I wanted to paint a cabinet, I would buy two jars of the paint to be sure I had enough.

Answer:	This is a thick liquid...but spreads well...it says it can be applied to unfinished wood...But, I used it over chalk paint, did go on a bit darker than I liked, so next time I will use the minwax antique paste wax, when I want a lighter antique finish. Instructions.. did recommend, if using over chalk paint and want a lighter antique look...use clear wax first. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Definitely not. It looks very pretty after spraying it, but once you start to wear it, the color will rub off and look very cheap. ):

Answer:	I only used it on plastic and metal, and it bonded very well. I did not use it on glass but believe that the result would be the same. However, I am not sure.
Question:	How much surface area did it cover? Trying to figure out how much I'll need
Answer:	It should work fine on poster board as I've used it on cardboard successfully. I have noticed that it does seem to appear more shiny if the surface is already glossy, less smooth surfaces renders a good colour but not as much of a metallic shine. A very good product, but shake it often during application
Question:	I'd like to use this topcoat over white chalked paint. One contributor said this may yellow the finish. Any experience
Answer:	Never used this particular type of paint, I have only used the clear coat paint & it works on Plastic

Once primer is dry, shake can for one minute and spray at any angle 10-12" from surface in a steady, back-and-forth motion. Slightly overlap each stroke. Shake can during process and spray 1 or more light coats a few minutes apart.

Top Coat

Once last coat dries for 24 hours, apply topcoat for extra protection. Use same technique as with paint application. Apply 1-2 thin coats a few minutes apart.

Answer:	I have not used this for a table . I used it on 2 dressers. Since it is chalk paint, I would recommend using some kind of sealer as you will be washing your table. The chalk paint will wipe off. I have used two different sealers. Polyurethane and another Behrs matte sealer that does not give it a shine if you want to stay with matte.
Question:	Can i use this on a plastic kids table
Answer:	I just did a super light sanding. I painted a hall table and didn’t have to use much paint at all. The table had the same color as the new paint but it was glossy paint before. I recommend it.

Question:	How well will this stick to glass jars
Answer:	All of the Country Chic Paint brushes are specifically designed to be used with our paint, but my personal favorite is our Oval Paint Brushes. They have densely packed bristles that hold lots of paint, and they help create a nice, smooth paint finish. If you've already got brushes on hand that you'd like to use, make sure you pick on that has synthetic bristles, rather than natural. Synthetic bristles will create a much smoother finish with water-based paint like this!

Answer:	If the piece is non-porous, we recommend applying a coat of primer prior to painting your metal project to ensure there are no adherence issues.

Question:	Can this product be used on iinexpensive furniture made out of particle board that is covered with a thin surface coating that imitates a wood look
Answer:	Yes, it can be used over milk paint. No, it won’t turn it yellow, assuming there’s not some strange chemical reaction I’m unaware of. I used the clear wax over the Jolie “Palace White” Paint and the color has remained super bright white.
Question:	Can this be used to paint laminate furniture
Answer:	Its better check with their website.
Question:	Is the "tint" separate? Because all I got was a can of white paint
Answer:	Yes. This wax is very easy to work with. If you need to see how it works on wood look up Annie Sloan was on wood on utube. This wax however will not protect surfaces from long periods of standing water. I have covered coffee tables and side tables with it but always advise to protect by using a coaster and wipe dust with a dry clean cloth.
Question:	Would this hold up on builder grade cabinets
Answer:	Yes, the wax can be used over latex paint. Buffing the wax is what makes it shiny, the wax has a naturally matte finish so apply it, wipe off the excess and just let it cure for a couple of weeks. Buffing the wax is what makes it shiny.

Allow to dry and buff the surface for a subtle, velvety finish. To maintain the quality of your finish, reapply wax as needed.

Project Tip: Use Dark Wax Over Clear Wax to Add Contrast & Drama

To achieve an antiqued, vintage look for your furniture, use KILZ Dark Sealing Wax. For best result start with clear wax as the first step.
