Answer:	The Super Elasto Barrier is 100 % liquid rubber whereas the Blue Max is liquid rubber and acrylic. Both are excellent waterproof coatings however, the Blue max has a bit more of an adhesive quality. Also, you can tile over the Blue Max.

Answer:	It's noy recommended for use in pools but we have had customers do it. It does end up with somewhat of a rubbery feel. If you do use it, keep in mind everything above the waterline must be top coated because it is UV sensitive.

Water penetrates concrete and brick in the winter as snow melts, then when it freezes again, it expands by about 9% to 10% which can be enough additional stress to cause cracking in concrete and brick over multiple freeze/thaw cycles

Answer:	Rainguard's Micro-seal can be applied easily to any porous, unpainted or unsealed architectural surface including a limestone fireplace hearth. Micro-seal is designed to perform in a wide range of climates, including those with high heat, so to answer your question, it will break down depending on just how hot the temperature becomes. If you are applying inside the hearth, I assume it will be hot enough to damage the Micro-seal, if you apply outside the hearth, then no, I would not expect the temperature to be any higher than normal outdoor temperatures can reach.
Question:	Can this be applied to a limestone fireplace hearth? Will exposure to heat cause it to break down
Answer:	I don't believe it would be a good idea. It's mainly used for sealing exposed bricks of a chimney to prevent spalling. You may actually trap water in the concrete wall and degrade it over time. I'd contact "Tim the Builder" and ask him whether he thought it would work. Personally, I'd use a product called "Thoroseal" which is a waterproofing coating for concrete walls made of masonry cement.
Question:	Would micro-seal be a good product to waterproof the interior of our brick basement wall that is prone to dampness
Answer:	Absolutely! Micro-seal is an excellent product on BOTH new and old unpainted concrete and provides excellent water repellent protection. On older concrete, need to make sure it is free of any oil, grease, dirt or other film that may prevent the proper penetration of the Micro-seal.

Answer:	Dont expect, a credit card knife that you can fold and unfold 1,000 times (the plastic where it folds and unfolds will break through out time). Answer:	Like many of these kinds of products, you shake it first. The stream is fairly narrow - the kind you need to run along a seam or some similar application (not a fine spray like a window cleaner). Personally I like the Flex Seal a bit better as it applies a bit for thickly than the Rust-Oleum. Can remember the exact temp requirements but something above 50 degrees F. as I recall. One 11 oz can will do maybe 30 to 40 feet of metal seam, window trim, or related apps. Possibly a bit more if you move along quickly.I thought I'd add the note that for wider area applications (I've had leaking metal roof issues) you might want to try "Thru-the-Roof" which comes both in tubes and quart/one gallon cans. Answer:	I would (and did) use an 18”roller. A sprayer will not put down enough product. However, I’m not pleased with this product overall and would recommend you use a different waterproofer.

Answer:	It's an excellent product that would certainly work. I would be more inclined to use epoxy in the garage however.
Question:	When applying this product does the temperature of the concrete and surround air matter? What is the recommended range
Answer:	The instructions tell you to apply the product when air and surface temperatures are between 45 and 90 degrees. I applied in the summer, but waited until late afternoon when the sun was not shining on the surface. I applied with a 3/8" nap roller. The instructions tell you to put on a thin layer, which is pretty much what I did. I just tried to spread the liquid evenly. Sometimes it would pool lightly, but that didn't seem to cause a problem. Within a few minutes, it was drying and it eventually dried evenly. It has been months now and the surface still obviously has the sealer on it. It's not visible, but when the lawn is watered, the water doesn't sink into the concrete. A thin layer of water stays on top of the concrete. So it definitely works as advertised. But I can tell you this. The sealer will not prevent the black algae fungus that typically develops on concrete from forming. I live in Florida, and that already is beginning to happen to my sealed concrete. So you're going to need to clean the concrete eventually after you've sealed it. I think sealing the concrete will prevent oil leaks from penetrating deep into the concrete as they typically do. But it won't stop the fungus from forming.

Answer:	No gloss look. When dry looks the same as before it was applied. When rains it puddles in some places. It was exactly the look I wanted around my pool.

Answer:	Stored at room temperature the SX5000WB will last at least one year. It's not uncommon for the product to still be usable closer to two years.

Answer:	7-10 years is typical for a high quality, high solids Silane-Siloxane water repellent sealer. That is considered to be the max life of any good water repellent. The only type of sealer that is longer lasting is a silicate sealers like the Armor S2000 or Armor L3000. Silicate sealers chemically react to form a calcium silicate hydrate barrier within the pores that reduces the sizes of the pores, therefore increasing the strength and density. The calcium silicate hydrate can only be removed when the concrete itself is removed. Silicate sealers don't cause water and other liquids to bead off the surface however. The only benefit you get with a silicate sealer is an increase in strength and density.

How Does It Work?

Application:

The Armor SX5000 WB is very easy to apply.

Step 1: Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of any other sealers or coatings. If the surface has been pressure washed, allow at least 24 hours for the substrate to completely dry.

Step 2: Using a roller or sprayer, apply 1 even coat. While the surface is still wet, apply a second coat.

Step 3: Allow the surface 24 hours to fully react and dry. Do not apply if it is expected to rain within 24 hours. Ensure any irrigation systems are turned off, or directed away from the newly sealed surface.

Will the surface be slippery when wet? No, the Armor SX5000 WB will not leave behind a slippery surface film. It works entirely below the surface in the pores.
