Answer:	This kit is an all in one. We have used it several times to repaint over builder's cabinets, fireplace mantles, and recently our bathroom vanities. However, we used the black paint for most of the work. But did use the white in the bathrooms. My husband said it seemed to adhere better. As far as staining, hard to know. We have it in the bathroom and so far it has held up. My son's house we used it everywhere. Seems to be holding up also. Kitchen cabinets we did 2 years ago. They may need a spot check. Answer:	Yes, this is the closest to pure white I have found. It has more of a grayish tint- bright white vs. a warm white/tellow. I only notice the difference because my cabinets were already white, and I can tell the subtle difference between my old paint( t was a white with yellow)

Answer:	Everything you need comes in the kit. I painted my cabinets I year ago and they still look new. They clean easily especially with a magic eraser spong. LOVE the paint. Painted my two bathroom cabinets also. I did one coat primer and two coats paint.

Answer:	I did not use a sealer and have had no areas to touch up.

Answer:	Hi there! It should not be necessary to apply a primer to your cabinets if they are a green laminate. The 2-3 light coats of the paint should hide the existing finish. If you would prefer to apply a primer, we recommend using a water based formula such as Zinsser's Bulls Eye 1-2-3.
Question:	Does this cover and fill scratches? Does it need a base
Answer:	Hello! Yes, it is necessary to sand before applying Nuvo, as this will help to remove any dirt and oils present on the existing finish, as well as increase the adhesion to your cabinets. Thoroughly sand all of your cabinet surfaces, whether it be wood, laminate, vinyl, or a painted surface. You do not have to remove your existing finish, just sand with a #300 grit sandpaper until all of your surfaces are deglossed. If you have wood cabinets then follow your wood’s grain with your sanding motions and avoid sanding in a circular fashion. If you have an electric palm sander then follow your woods grain as well. Be sure to sand extra well around your door handles and stove because of the potential oils and dirt located in these areas. For applications on an existing high gloss finish, it is optimal to apply a liquid deglosser to your finish first and then use the #300 grit sandpaper to lightly scuff up the surface. When you are done sanding, wipe up all of the sanding dust with a standard window cleaner since the alcohol and ammonia won’t leave a residue. Clean well with Tri-Sodium Phosphate (TSP cleaner or a degreaser) around the handles and places where you often touch the wood, as the oils from our hands get onto the surface and will keep the paint from adhering.

Answer:	Nuvo Cabinet Paint may be spray applied as long as it's with professional equipment such as conventional, airless, air assisted airless, air brush, or an HVLP (high volume low pressure) spray system, along with the proper tips and gun nozzles. It's not necessary to dilute Nuvo with added water for a spray application. As a disclaimer, we do not recommend using an HVLP sprayer indoors.

Answer:	Hello and thank you for your question! Cracking paint is typically associated with issues with the substrate. This can be a result of dirt and debris on the cabinets prior to application. This can also be a result of of something called "mud cracking" which happens when the top layer of paint dries before the underneath layers have a chance to. This happens often in situations where a lot of paint is sitting in one area, when paint that is applied very thickly, or when you apply a new coat over a coat that has not fully dried. Answer:	It's kind of an off-white. I used on the cabinets in a condo we were selling and it made the cabinets look really fresh and clean, but it's not a bright white or anything like that. It's a very nice, soft off-white.

Answer:	To me this is not a chalk paint and I don't think this is considered a chalk paint. I painted my kitchen cabinets with this. First was back in 2012 with Ivory and I glazed it to have a little design. Then again in 2018 with Soft Gray to match our new countertop.
Question:	Can you use it on a cement bird bath
Answer:	It claimed that it will bond to any clean and dry surfaces but I haven't tried it on a cement. Sorry, I can't answer the question directly.
Question:	How does this work on exterior metal doors
Answer:	I am not a fan of this product whatsoever. I bought two colors of the paint, and each one peeled and looked dull. I actually took the paint to a trash area where I could dump it. I was totally taken in my the reviews of how great it was - obviously - reviews made by their own company. I would not recommend you buy this paint - go to a local paint store and ask the manager what they recommend.
Question:	Usable to paint the wood railing in old house without scraping all previous decades of paint? Will it withstand the constant touching
Answer:	I used this on my kitchen cabinets and drawers and it's been okay so far. Although there was a time that some paint came off around the knob area, but I easily and quickly touched it up. No big deal to me. As for the railing, I think it should be okay as well as long as it is thoroughly cleaned. Frankly speaking, I really love this paint. I bought total 6 different colors, two of the colors at 1 gallon each. I also bought two antiquing glaze. This is how much I love this paint.

Any previously painted surface that is properly prepared requires no priming. A prepared surface should be cleaned and lightly sanded with 220 grit sandpaper to dull any gloss that remains on the surface.

Answer:	Hello, we recommend a tip range between .013 and .017. The total fluid output pressure at the tip should not be less than 2200 PSI.

Answer:	Hello, Cabinet Coat can be applied over properly prepared polyurethane coated cabinets. We recommend to thoroughly clean and sand the surface first. After cleaning and sanding we recommend to apply a coat of primer. You can use our Prime Lock (oil-based) or Stix (water-based) primers.

Answer:	Hello there! Yes, you may use Nuvo over previously painted cabinets, with the proper preparation: Thoroughly sand all of your cabinet surfaces, whether it be wood, laminate, vinyl, or a painted surface. You do not have to remove your existing finish, just sand with a #300 grit sandpaper until all of your surfaces are deglossed. If you have wood cabinets then follow your wood’s grain with your sanding motions and avoid sanding in a circular fashion. If you have an electric palm sander then follow your woods grain as well. Be sure to sand extra well around your door handles and stove because of the potential oils and dirt located in these areas. For applications on an existing high gloss finish, it is optimal to apply a liquid deglosser to your finish first and then use the #300 grit sandpaper to lightly scuff up the surface. When you are done sanding, wipe up all of the sanding dust with a standard window cleaner since the alcohol and ammonia won’t leave a residue. Clean well with Tri-Sodium Phosphate (TSP cleaner or a degreaser) around the handles and places where you often touch the wood, as the oils from our hands get onto the surface and will keep the paint from adhering. Pay extra attention to the area above and around the stove where oil and grease accumulates. You may need to clean a few times depending on how much the grease has settled. After cleaning, wipe up with water or Windex® to remove any TSP or degreaser residue. This may need to be done a few times. **Note: Cracking may occur if you do not clean your cabinets well enough** Hope this helps!

Answer:	I'm sorry to hear this. Sanding it required regardless of surface material. Without sanding this could absolutely occur. Additionally if the original paint was high gloss. For applications on an existing high gloss finish, it is optimal to apply a liquid deglosser to your finish first and then use the #300 grit sandpaper to lightly scuff up the surface. **Note: Cracking may occur if you do not clean/sand your cabinets well enough.**

Answer:	Hello Lowell! First, you will need to fill in any chips or nicks with a wood putty. Then, go ahead and sand all of the cabinet surfaces with a #600 grit sandpaper. Next, use Windex to remove all sanding dust. When the cabinets have dried, you can go ahead and apply Nuvo to the surfaces-you will not need to use a primer

Answer:	A little does go a long way, but you will need to apply two coats. If I wanted to paint a cabinet, I would buy two jars of the paint to be sure I had enough.

Answer:	This is a thick liquid...but spreads well...it says it can be applied to unfinished wood...But, I used it over chalk paint, did go on a bit darker than I liked, so next time I will use the minwax antique paste wax, when I want a lighter antique finish. Instructions.. did recommend, if using over chalk paint and want a lighter antique look...use clear wax first. Hope this helps.

Answer:	If you want a glossy finish use seal polyurethane, but a matte just clear wax, I do use the seal just because it protects from water (I have kids ☺️)

Clean & Prep

Remove any hardware, wash surface with soap and water and let dry. Remove any loose paint or rust and lightly sand glossy surfaces for better adhesion. Primer is not required for most surfaces, but recommended for bare wood or wood high in tannins such as redwood, mahogany and fir.

Brush On

If primer is used, wait 2 hours before applying finish. Stir thoroughly to re-disperse any settled pigment. Use a high quality synthetic brush to apply light even brush strokes. For each coat applied, allow 2 hours before next coat.

Top Coat

Once last coat dries for at least 8 hours, apply topcoat for extra protection. Apply 1-2 light even coats, waiting 2 hours between coats.

This semi-gloss topcoat is designed to protect your cabinets. If you do not want a semi-gloss finish, do not use this topcoat. For a high-gloss finish, use Gianni's high-gloss topcoat. Do not allow standing water to sit on your cabinets for an Extended period, even after the topcoat application. Wait 4 hours after applying your final coat of Novo Cabinet Paint before applying Novo semi-gloss topcoat, and in between thin coats of topcoat. Use a maximum of 2 coats. You may use your kitchen a few hours after your final coat.
