Answer:	It's immediate dry erase and wet erase after the markers have been on the vinyl paper roll for a while. Comes off best with a magic sponge. This is a black chalkboard vinyl paper so in that sense it would be both.

HOW TO USE YOUR DRY ERASE PAPER

The surface must be clean. Use a liquid cleaner like glass cleaner to clean the surface and wait until the entire surface is dry before adhering your chalkboard liner. Metal, glass, ceramic, or porcelain are all great mounting surfaces. If the desired use is on a textured wall, try mounting the adhesive contact paper to a piece of board first and then hang on the wall. If you prefer to mount dry erase contact paper to a textured wall, it will create a rough writing surface and potentially have poor adhesion. You can mount black contact paper self adhesive liner on any smooth wood surface. To use, cut to size with scissors and then peel and stick.

Question:	Will this work on cardboard boxes
Answer:	I haven't tried liquid chalk but this is an awesome product for use with chalk sticks.
Question:	How much will one can cover
Answer:	I did - a whoooooole lot of mirrors, actually. My classroom used to be an old dance classroom and there was an entire wall of mirrors at the front. I used this stuff to spray paint over it and turn it into a makeshift chalkboard, and I have two caveats: 1. While it can and DOES work on a mirror, you need to make absolutely certain that the mirror is clean. Like, spotless. Otherwise it's going to cause bumps and bubbles and make actually writing on it kind of troublesome.2. You will probably need to do at least two coats - one seems to be too thin and can cause chalk to "scrape through" the paint, so I'd definitely do at least two coats to make sure you've got a good chalkboard base.Do those two things, and you'll be good to go!

Tips for a Perfect Chalkboard Finish

Remove any loose paint or rust, lightly sand glossy surfaces, rinse clean with soap/water and let surface fully dry.

Sanding surface before application allows for a smooth finish. Primer is recommended, especially for use on bare wood or metal. For best brush-on results, use a foam roller.

Condition Surface

After 3 days, rub the side of a piece of chalk over the entire surface to increase erasability and then erase clean.

Wait for 7 Days Before Wiping Down

In order to achieve the best chalkboard surface, wait 7 days after conditioning with chalk before cleaning with soap and water. Repeat conditioning step after wiping down.

Answer:	Yes you can. Please clean the surface to be free of dust and grease before application for the best results.

Answer:	Yes as long it’s in dry area. For example if it rains it may not stay up.

Answer:	Yes. I have tested it on cardboard, wood, fencing, peg board, and even glass. The can says that it will not stick to galvanized metals. You need 2-3 light coats for it to work on glass.

Answer:	I ran two heavy coats over a 3' x 3' chalkboard and the can still feels half-full (at least). The website says 110 square feet but I'm guessing that's probably one coat. The label recommends two coats and ours works great. Hope that helps!

Answer:	I have not used this for a table . I used it on 2 dressers. Since it is chalk paint, I would recommend using some kind of sealer as you will be washing your table. The chalk paint will wipe off. I have used two different sealers. Polyurethane and another Behrs matte sealer that does not give it a shine if you want to stay with matte.

Answer:	I just did a super light sanding. I painted a hall table and didn’t have to use much paint at all. The table had the same color as the new paint but it was glossy paint before. I recommend it.

There is a teeny bit of wear, but flat black isn't really what I was going for myself. If you're expecting classroom level use, I don't know but would guess it would need an annual repaint to keep it sharp.

Answer:	I did not season the paint????? once dry it worked fine I did put 3 coats on and let completely dry between coats. I did write on it and it worked well, but i do not continuously write on it.

Answer:	Per 32 ounce can, one layer of Magnetize-it Standard, High Standard and Premium, applied with an ordinary roller, will cover approximately 60, 80 and 100 sq. ft. respectively. High Standard and Premium apply in a thinner, easier-to-spread, smoother texture due to MNP content (magnetic nano particles). Surface cover can vary, depending on painting method, surface, and desired holding power.
Question:	Can this be used as a backing primer for whiteboard paint to make a magnetic whiteboard
Answer:	I’m not sure but I would assume I used on my pantry door with black chalk board paint over it and it worked liked a charm but be sure to follow the directions and sand between coats

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

​1. Will these liquid chalk markers work on my chalkboard?



Chalkboards are produced by a large variety of manufacturers and come in a wide range of materials. As a result, it is important to determine if your chalkboard has a porous or non-porous surface. If your chalkboard is made from a non-porous material (like slate chalkboards, glass, mirrors, etc.) liquid chalk markers are extremely easy to erase with just a damp cloth. For porous chalkboard surfaces, the pigment can get absorbed by the surface causing a shadow to be left behind when removed. This is true of all liquid chalk markers on the market.



2. Can I use these liquid chalk markers on my painted wall?



Painted (and unsealed) surfaces are very porous and it can absorb the pigment from the ink and will leave a shadow when removed. Some may not erase at all. It’s all about the surface. We highly recommend sealing a painted surface with a clear sealer first before using liquid chalk markers on them.



3. The chalk markers seem to be drying out and won’t write or they are too watery. What should I do?



When they appear to be dry or watery, shaking them vigorously for at least 30 seconds usually resolves the problem. Make sure the cap is on tight before shaking. Then prime the tip by pumping it on a clean surface until ink flows smoothly (this can take up to 30 seconds the first time or if they haven’t been used in a while).



4. The tip is frayed. Can I replace them?



Each packet comes with replacement tips and it is really easy to replace them. You just need to pull it out gently then put in the new one properly. Please make sure to hold the marker with the tip facing up while replacing it and prime the tip first before use. You can use a paper towel to prevent ink from getting on your hands.

Question:	Is linen white a true, bright white? Or does it have a cream tone
Answer:	I find those expensive boar bristle brushes good for chalk style paints only if you're after that deeply textured brush stroke look. I'm not a fan of that look. I use the Rustoleum Chalked Paints quite frequently and by far, my favorite brush is the Wooster foam brush. It looks alot like the super cheap foam brushes, but it leaves an incredibly smooth surface and can be washed and reused over and over. If you want a more traditional brush, go with a mid-road synthetic like the Wooster short cut (I swear I don't work for wooster). I also dilute this paint and spray it in an HVLP sprayer for large projects, and it works beautifully!
Question:	Can I paint faux leather fabric
Answer:	Linen white is off white.
Question:	Rust-oleum says to use synthetic brushes or foam. on amazon site for chalked paint brushes they are natural boar. so what should i use
Answer:	No, it is not but you can buy magnetic primer. You need two coats of the primer and one coat of the chalkboard paint on top.
Question:	is 'linen white' white white or what
Answer:	Theoretically yes, but i wouldn't try it. The paint is thicker than normal paint. It might not end very well

Clean & Prep

Remove any hardware, wash surface with soap and water and let dry. Remove any loose paint or rust and lightly sand glossy surfaces for better adhesion. Primer is not required for most surfaces, but recommended for bare wood or wood high in tannins such as redwood, mahogany and fir.

Brush On

If primer is used, wait 2 hours before applying finish. Stir thoroughly to re-disperse any settled pigment. Use a high quality synthetic brush to apply light even brush strokes. For each coat applied, allow 2 hours before next coat.

Top Coat

Once last coat dries for at least 8 hours, apply topcoat for extra protection. Apply 1-2 light even coats, waiting 2 hours between coats.
