Question:	What is the warranty on this
Answer:	I don't believe there is any warranty. We applied it two years ago and the covered areas still look good. The section in direct Sun...needs to have it applied again.
Question:	How long can the product be stored once the container is opened
Answer:	We actually used some that we had stored in our garage that was left over from the last time we stained our siding and that was in the summer of 2012, 6 yrs ago. When we removed the lid, it looked like it had become a gel but my husband used a drill with a paint mixer/stirrer tool and it became liquefied again. We applied it to the siding without incident and the color matched the new 5 gallon containers we bought this summer .
Question:	I have 275 ft of fence plus a gate- what's the coverage with using a sprayer
Answer:	I’m in the process of staining my fence (I am using a different brand) with a semi-transparent stain. I have 187’ of fence at 5’ high including 2 gates. Applied with a roller and brush, I’m going to need around 13 gallons. My recommendation is rent a sprayer from Home Depot. You’ll save time and money as you’ll use less product and it will go much much faster.
Question:	we have a heavy dining set and i am worried about scratches after i stain, how does it hold up to heavy chairs moving back and forth
Answer:	I have a deck/patio furniture set, including a cast iron umbrella base. Lots of use over the last year with no evidence of scratches in the deck. The stain penetrates the wood rather than building a barrier so dragging stuff across the boards won't take it off provided the wood is properly prepared.

Answer:	You need to remove any existing finish on the deck. See my review for suggestions on how to remove existing paint or stain and prep the deck for timber oil finishing.

Answer:	There are sample color kits available, so that you can test the colors on your own wood.Sometimes pictures can be misleading. Because this is a semi transparent stain, the color of your wood will determine the final look of the finish.

Answer:	It has only been on our deck for a year now, it has not faded, it does not bead and the wood is protected., and the deck is not slippery. It is one of the most beautiful colors I have seen,. We live in Oklahoma and have had ice storms with 3 inches of ice and snow storms with15 inches of snow in the last 4 months, however the deck looks brand new.

Question:	Is Sierra brown different than Sierra
Answer:	First of all, the this product IS a stain and sealer all in one formula. There is no need for a sealer to be applied to this product. However, I do have some more questions as far as your particular project goes.......What kind of wood are you applying this to? You mention they are pre-sealed floor planks...... Do they already have stain on them or they chemically infused such as treated pine? And the product you have selected is a fence stain so if you are wanting to apply this to "floor" planks, you will need the 200 series as it is designed for high traffic areas and has a 24 hour dry time. (We have the Sable Brown in the 200 series as well) .The fence stain is not to be used on decks as it will track on your feet. Also is this an exterior or interior project? Our stain is designed for exterior use only. Please let us know.
Question:	Does this product contain a sealer? I want to use this item to blend old w/ new pre-sealed fence planks before new coat of Flood brand sealer applied
Answer:	No ma'am our stain only requires one fully saturated coat. please let us know if you need further assistance we will gladly answer your questions.
Question:	For a new fence, will this require multiple coats? How many
Answer:	Yes. As with an airless spraying paint you tend to use a high pressure. However when using our oil based stain, you will want to turn down the pressure as low as it will go. Also you will want to use a fan style tip with the largest orifice possible such as a 521 tip or greater. Your goal is to soak the wood to saturation / penetration rather than coating just only the surface.
Question:	Can this be used with a paint sprayer? Thanks
Answer:	I did not use latex caulk however would be inclined to think you latex chinking would be less likely to stick to Timber Oil Deep Penetrating Stain. I suggest you test it on a piece of wood first. Seal it with your Timber Oil, let it dry and put on your latex chinking. If it sticks, then definitely seal first, if not then do your latex chinking first.

Answer:	There is no texture, just a smooth paint that took the texture of what we painted it on. No idea on the peel, only just used in the last couple weeks.
Question:	How much do I need for a 24’ x 18’ deck
Answer:	This is a water based product and as such gets a better coverage area. The product should yield approximately 600 SF. However, when staining a deck, you'll not meet that coverage area if you use an airless paint sprayer. Typically the average would be 450 - 475 SF. If you roll it, you should expect to get between 500 - 525 SF.

Answer:	I bought 2 gallons of light oak about a month ago. Look again or call the company.

Answer:	I'd clean the boards the best you can and let them dry, and then yes, you can reapply it. It says so on the can.
Question:	How many sq ft will 2.5 gallons cover
Answer:	depends. cover says 100 - 150 sq ft per gallon. I used 7.5 gallons on about 600sq ft of deck and barely had enough, that was 2 coats. 1st coat sucked up a lot, 2nd coat went a lot farther
Question:	How many years on before having to reapply
Answer:	I live at 9000 ft. in the mountains- .wind, rain, snow, UV. I try to touch up every 2-3 years.

Answer:	Depends in what kind condition is your deck and how well do you prepare it. I have been using this for years. It is hard to change color, too much work. Answer:	Hello, The application temperature must be between 50-90 F.

Answer:	Hello, Yes lightly wipe those spots and and make sure those areas are dry before putting into use. note: wet spots could have been caused by a lack of penetration into the wood (a previous stain or sealant could be the culprit), applying to heavy, or the presence of moisture in the wood.
Question:	How do you open the plastic seal lid
Answer:	Hello, Thanks for your question on this. The plastic lid can be slightly difficult to take off, but is applied to ensure safe transport. To remove, I have found that a paint can opener or flat head screw driver wedged either in the top or on the side on the can works pretty easily. Be sure not to use a hammer to try and wedge the flat head screw driver in, as you want to avoid damaging the metal can.
