| Answer: | Maybe Slightly Thinner than warm Syrup, So probably between Warm Syrup & Water. A word of advice though, I had an extremely difficult time working with this product & had to sand and reapply many coats to get a satisfactory finish. It dries fast & if you run a brush over it after is has sat more than a minute it will create rough brush marks. Additionally if you apply more than a very thin layer it will crack similar to a crackle pattern. Unless you are putting this over a pure white background I would recommend that you use the standard "Crystal Clear" non-water based urethane. It has only a light yellow tint and is much easier to work with in my experience. |

| Answer: | I used it on redwood gates that I made. They still look real nice after about 1 year but unfortunately don’t know about any kind of white wood, cedar, pine etc. Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | Yes it can. You have to thin it a bit with paint thinner, but I've had really good success spraying it on. I did 8 wood doors using a sprayer and it worked really well. Laid them out on saw horses. Did two coats, lighting sanding between. People always comment on our doors and are shocked when I tell them they cost less than $50 because the finish is so nice. |

| Answer: | You do not have to, but I always do, and here are the reasons: A common mistake beginners make is not thinning whatever varnish they're using.Often, the instructions on the can will tell you not to thin the product or to thin no more than 5%. Well, here in Florida, it's almost impossible to get a level mirror-like finish with no brush marks or lap lines without thinning. Contrary to label instructions, I thin varnish 20% or even 30%. This will make a thin, runny mixture but it will dry fast, and that's how you can do multiple coats in a day. Another reason to thin this much is that in a subtropical climate like Florida's, varnishing in the sun is unavoidable for most of us boaters. If you apply straight varnish to teak in the hot sun the varnish will wrinkle, or what they call 'alligator' disastrously, because the top of the liquid will dry faster than underneath, and shrivel.Good luck to you! |

| Answer: | Yes. I aged a newly-built picnic table by first oxidizing, then whitewashing with watered down latex paint, and finally, applying a water-based antiquing glaze. I then applied three coats of the spar urethane in the exterior satin. It has since been out in sun, extreme heat, many rains, and has been commandeered by three one-hundred pound boxers with very sharp nails. After all this, not a scratch - no fading, peeling, chipping...nothing. This product amazes me. I just can't understand why it is so difficult to find. Buy it while you can, and purchase extra. I used the interior version on a farm table, which has held out equally well, despite people sliding heavy items across it and leaving their wet glasses sitting on it. Again, no scratches, stains or chips. |
