Answer:	Nathan, Thanks for the question. The Moisture Range on this Hand Held meter for CORN is 10 - 40%. However, the clear plastic funnel which is provided to assist with consistent filling of the test cell, will not work well on corn over say 25 - 30%. This is due to the lack of flowability in the higher moisture content. I would suggest that you still fill the funnel, but pour the sample back out the large end at just 1 - 2" above the test cell. EVERY TIME and at the same Rate. With this consistency, you would have much greater repeatability between different tests. I would also suggest using the feature to average three readings to allow for some fill variation. Hope that this has help with the operation of the meter. Tom Runyon Seedburo Equipment Co.

Question:	Can this measure LED grow light
Answer:	Tl;dr is at the bottom because I have a lot of details. It can, but it is not recommended. Lux meters like this are designed to measure the intensity of visible light, which generally assumes you are measuring white light perceived by humans. What matters for plants (so what matters for your grow light) is Photosynthetic Active Radiation, PAR. PAR is a measurement of how many light particles, or photons, pass by a given point. This means that PAR will also get smaller the further you move from the light because it has dispersed more. Because PAR is much more difficult to measure than ambient light, it is much more expensive, generally in the $300-500 range. I would recommend either checking if your grow light has documentation on it's output in PAR, or contacting the manufacturer to ask. If they do not have this information, then follow their guidelines on how far to place the light relative to your plants. Tl;dr: Lux is not a good measurement for LED grow lights. See if you can find information about the light's output measured in PAR. Source: I designed an LED Grow Light and had to do all this research to figure out what to measure for it.
Question:	Yes this a goodlight meter for photographers
Answer:	I would not use it for photography. There are many better meters to use for that purpose. This meter is made for measuring foot candles and such and is useful for comparative light levels. Gossen or other photo meters would do better and be directly viewable with the scales on such a meter.

Answer:	Yes but the color temperature of the source may effect the sensation of “brightness”. The higher the color temperature, the sensation of brightness increases. We have “caveman eyes”: sunlight (6500k) “feels” bright....fire (2000k) “feels” dim. Look up anything published by Dr Sam Berman.

Answer:	Most accurate would be incident metering tough this relies on you being able to meter at lighting similar to your subject. If this is not possible (uneven clouds, shadows, fog, etc), use reflective metering which is how 99% of cameras meter. This meter will do both.

Ideal for contractors, woodworkers, and homeowners, this new precision specialty instrument is commonly used to detect moisture and water damage under tiling, locate moisture in sub-floors beneath carpeting and wood flooring, and check moisture in masonry. Two different modes enable users to measure moisture in corner, hard to reach areas, narrow spaces and uneven surfaces. The spherical sensor measures the average moisture level up to a depth of 4-inches and its small contact area provides superb repeatability.

• Pin mode uses replaceable pins at end of 46-inch cable and pinless mode uses integral ball sensor with 4-inch measurement depth
• Displays percent WME or relative readings simultaneously on two displays one a jumbo LCD and the other a 40-dot tri-color LDE bar graph

Question:	Why do many of general tools moisture meters have two separate settings for wood and building materials, and the mmd950 not
Answer:	Possibly, not fully sealed with side pieces, still going to be drifting in and out on the sides but if not overly industrial it might work, good product otherwise and may depend on degree of protection needed..?
Question:	Would this unit read to 0.1% up to 10% or more moisture? Wish to use it on a food product
