Answer:	It certainly has enough strenght to do it but it's height is not so impressive at between 2 and 3 inches. The legs are wide so it will be stable. It's a very nice product for its price with very construction quality but it is short.

Answer:	I guess you will use your Monitor Series tower speakers as front speakers and the in-ceiling 70-RT as rear/surround speakers.Haven't done that exact match. However, I checked specs for the Monitor Series towers and the RT floor standing speakers the RT-70 are designed to match. Both speakers are full range (as the RT-70) and appear to have the same tweeter (1" silk/plymer). Midrange and Subwoofer differ a bit in size and type.My guess is, considering the RT-70s specs and superb performance (I use mine in a 2.1 arrangement in my bedroom), any acoustic mis-match (if any) should be hard no notice. I would say, go ahead!
