I bought plastic wrap used for shipping to joi9n the two risers together by wrapping completely around then several times so that urine can not get between the risers. I am using now and it works great. I wish I could have found someone to recommend this but instead I had to conceptualize solution myself. Glad I did. The toilet seats in my house measure 16.5" and 17.5" from the floor.Something that was not included in the description of this Lift: The seat lifts from the back of the device after you press the release lever on the right side of the seat -- then you slide forward to get up. I had mine set for my weight range and the seat came up so quickly it could have tossed me forward had I not had someone there to catch me. (I am a wheelchair user and had someone help me "practice" before trying it on my own.) I had expected a slow rise rather than being thrust forward and up. Answer:	That depends on the size of the corner. The angle finder I have is 8.55 inches long and just under 1.4 inches wide when closed, so the corner must be large enough for the tool to fit inside. The pivot end has a radius slightly smaller than half the with of the two straight edges. You can make a mockup of the tool using the dimensions I have given here an the angle you need and see if it fits the corner you want.

Answer:	I have had to do a lot of atypical miters and how I do this is to cut one miter angle and them measure this angle to determine the other angle on the miter. This has worked well, but can difficult if you do not have the space needed to expand the Gem Red. Overall this is a remarkable tool that is very accurate. But I needed to buy a smaller digital angle finder to work in smaller spaces. After working with the digital, would never go back to non digital.

Answer:	Believe it has to do with the size of the seat. I got the 1.4 and have quit using it because: I can get along with out it & I find it very uncomfortable when sitting on it for a long period of time. When I really needed it, I ended up putting a cushion on top of it

I take it with me to doctor's office, church pews, - just get a good chair with arms to sit in and set it at the appropriate weight. You might have to play with the weight adjustments, as the higher the weight, the higher it pushes you up..Its not comfortable to sit on every day, but works well when you go out...The one I use is 5 years old, and the more you use it setting it up and closing it, the easier it is to bend and open up.

Answer:	Hi Marie, The dimensions are about 17" wide and 19" deep. I say about as there is a slight curvature to the seat. We use it in a recliner which is very roomy, so we have to do some adapting. You will sit higher on the lift which makes the arms, if you depend on them, low, so we use some pillows. We also push the base of he lift into the crack at the back of the seat. If you are struggling to get someone on their feet or wanting to use it as a tool for maintaining independence we recommend it. My husband has a problem getting on his feet and at times can be almost a dead weight. Without this I don't know what I would do!!
