Answer:	You can try it on a fake leather, it all depends on how clean the surface and what coatings they may have applied. I would go with the bold browns that have the Dark Brown, Mahogany and Med Brown plus the little black and white bottles to adjust the shades.

Answer:	It should have came with directions inside to set the lock, but there is a silver square on the right push and hold it to the left , while holding it pushed to the left set your desired combo once your combo is entered release the silver square. Then double check your combo to make sure it works. Start this process while combo is set to the default combo of 000 hope this helps !
Question:	Does it come with a mounting plate
Answer:	The top panel that blocks in any wraps or papers that you might store in there, should come with the box. I had to contact their customer service, because the lock was broken on mine, and they responded very quickly and we're phenomenal to work with. I highly suggest you reach out to them.
