Answer:	You need to buy a set of led 5050 connectors in order to cut them and use the entire strip any way you like. I bought a set for about $15 and while thats almost the same price as the kit, I'm glad i did because i was able to do what i wanted with all the lights. The connectors are a pain in the beginning but you'll get the hang of it and it's not so bad after that.

Answer:	On the instruction manual, you'll get some directions as to which app you should download and how you should set it up with wifi. Once that's done, you'll notice that the app allows you to control not only the brightness, but also the paleness of your chosen colour. In short, yes, it is possible to adjust the controls into various shades of white (or just a simple white light if you want).
