Answer:	They are plastic. However that being said I’ve had them out at my campsite for several months now multiple major storms and a freaking tornado. No lie. Our park got hit by an actual confirmed EF-1 tornado it missed my camper by about 50 feet. And they are perfectly fine. The poles bend and sway in the wind you’ll deem them out there dancing around in high winds. But they don’t seem to be effected by it. My dog has run one of them down a dozen times with the dog chain I had to re arrange patio furniture so she would go around it before it snapped off but again it’s still Alive and well and comes on at dusk like clockwork.

Answer:	Just got mine last week and I left it outside in the sun for two days on off (they have a simple switch on the side) to get a good charge. The lights stay glowing strong for a very long time, if not all night.

Answer:	Not really accessible without major, warranty-voiding "surgery." But ultimately, yes, they are technically replaceable... but it's clear they did not have their replacement in mind when they designed it.
Question:	Ok with mapp gas
Answer:	Mine stopped working after a few weeks, I gave them a not so good review. I emailed Sunlitec, they told me if I took down my review and reordered they would send me a gift card for the amount. So I did. My new ones are still working after 2 months but I still have not seen the gift card. Scammers
Question:	Can you use propane canisters from Walmart
Answer:	They are short and fairly fragile, but good for lighting a path or sidewalk. But with some cheap 1\2" PVC, 1\2" to 3\4" connectors for the torch heads, and some black spray paint from Home Depot, I now have stronger 6 ft. tall tiki torches around the perimeter of our deck. (I attached them with stainless steel screws to the deck posts.)
