Answer:	The structure and frame are sturdy. We can even sit on it (one at a time) but we aren't very big with the heaviest less than 150 pounds. That puts me in agreement with the other responses so far. However, the outside is more like straw; it is not like wicker. It is soft and pliable. Our cats with no front claws rub their feet on it and it breaks. If they jump off, their hind claws leave behind holes in the rush "straw." If the wish is to use it as a foot rest, the straw could well break down over time. We like ours very much and have 3 of them but I wouldn't recommend using it as a regular foot rest because of the vulnerability of the straw.

Question:	Do these lights keep burning if one goes out
Answer:	The Gold hooks contained enough iron in them to be picked with a magnet. The Silver hooks may have been stainless. Both were strong enough that a Dremil with a cutting wheel had to be used to cut them. Some of the other products on Amazon I purchased, I was able to cut with side cutters.
