Answer:	It's intended for a 4" round pole but I would believe that you could make it work. It may not fit perfectly out of the box though. I used mine on 10" fluted, round, exterior columns and had to trim some of the material on either side to fit them. And yes, the devices are pre-wired. They have pigtails.

Question:	Maybe a silly question, but do we need to peel off the plastic covering the solar panel? Thanks
Answer:	Yes they have a curved back to fit the pole curve and do fit a 3" pole which installed easily for us and work like they should. BUT we also ordered 2 from Sears.com and the ones from Sears are a much better outlet although a little more expensive.

Answer:	The cover itself is flat and sticks out maybe 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch

Answer:	Ground is facing up closest to the hinge as shown in photos at other vendor sites. Because the receptacle it is upside down from normal most angled plugs won't fit. Bad design.

Question:	Where is it made? I see the dumb answer (made between New York and London) below but really, where is it made
Answer:	It costs only $13 so it's made in China, if it was made in New York it would cost $130, if London $230 :)
Question:	Where is the on/off switch for this lantern
Answer:	Just disassembled mine to make the lens "frosty" instead of clear (keep from burning my retinas!). There's a microswitch on top of the battery compartment. A long spring connected to the LED array presses against the switch to turn it off--extending obviously releases the switch. The battery compartment cover can be installed in 4 positions (rotating 90 degrees between). If not in the correct one of the 4, the spring would never press the normally-closed switch (opening the circuit and turning off the light). If your doesn't turn off, I'd suspect wrong orientation of the cover plate or that the spring has fallen off. Either would be a pretty simple fix. Curiously, I also found the long center screw was installed upside down. The bottom end plastic is shaped to capture the nut. It made initially disassembly slightly more difficult (you'll need a 7mm socket or open-ended wrench).

Answer:	Hello, the ad is not actually showing a battery but the collapsed lantern. It does take AA, 3 of them. I didn't buy my original lantern on Amazon but I came to buy a replacement one and looked at the questions. Oh, mine is having to be replaced because it kept getting borrowed once people saw how great it is until it finally failed to be returned. I'm buying several more as gifts!

Or say u don't have power and the Lantern dies in the middle of the night... instead of cranking the dynamo to charge the battery 10 min of crank at 120 rpm for a hour and half of light.. Some may find it easier to just put 3 AA batterys in for All night backup power .. And I'm not 100% sure on this but if you put 3 rechargeable AA it may give u evern more on time plus recharge AA rechargeable batterys win it's plug to change the Lantern.. Answer:	if you mean "hot" as cool, I don't know, but it is good looking. If you mean "hot" as hard to get/in demand, I don't know that either. If you mean how "hot" does it run, it's not hot at all. I've had it about 4 months now, on all the time (holding a charge), and I've recharged it once. In none of those times have I felt any heat at all. My plan now is to recharge at the start of every month, easy to remember. When I looked after 2 months, it only had about 30% left, so I'd left it too long. It charged back up again, though, pretty quickly. No heat.

So if you live in a place with 220 you already have available 220 AC to 5VDC Chargers, in fact most US ones are 110-240 AC to 5VDC. House mains 110-220 VAC to 5VDC, car 12CDC to 5VDC, and of course power banks all output 5VDC. I have scores of chargers around my house from iphones, other phones, powerbanks, etc etc that are 5vdc output and I cant find a single one that isn't BOTH 110-120 and 220-240 input.
