Answer:	If they get dirty/sweaty, usually a rinse in cold water does the trick, but I wouldn't wash them in a machine unless they get really dirty. If you machine wash, use a garment bag and wash on gentle cycle, otherwise hand-wash... do not machine dry!

Answer:	I had two strings last year and they worked this year. Don't know if they will next time though. I would imagine they will.
