Answer:	On the highest setting, it's a bit brighter than a usual nightlight, but I would have trouble reading by it. I don't think it's bright enough for that.

Question:	How do you go about cleaning this? Does it emit any kind of smell
Answer:	I used filtered water to restore the natural beauty of the crystals (they do come dirty). Here's how: Put the crystals in a laundry mesh bag, fill a 5 gallon bucket with cold filtered water, dip and rotate the bag in the water for about 20 seconds, allow crystals to dry. You can clean yours crystals with water and there will hardly be a noticeable decrease in its volume.

Answer:	The basket I received is black. I would highly recommend you'd purchase this item. It is so unbelievably beautiful; the picture really does not give it justice. Besides being so beautiful, it creates this amazing atmosphere in the room.
Question:	Is the CA Prop 65 warning attacted to this product because of lead in the basket/electrical cord or because of the the salt itself

In reply to your question however, it can be both the electrical components AND the salt itself that could lead to that warning label. Some places where the salt is mined are exposed to many environmental challenges (mercury, lead, plastic & petroleum toxins, chemicals, etc.) and since we dont know exactly which salt mine/deposit it came from, we cant know for sure. They originate from the Himalayas(in Pakistan) Im sure theyve tested this however, keep in mind however that whatever elements are causing the warning , are within a relatively safe level and the label is just there per California state law to inform you.
Question:	I bought this lamp on 9/20/2012 - my light just burned out. When I replaced it, it no longer works. I've tried several bulbs. Any suggestions
Answer:	It is probably the crappy dimmer they use. I bought a cheap in-line switch and simplycut the dimmer-switch out. I also replaced the bulb with a 2.6 watt LED from ebay.Now I leave it on all of the time and it uses almost no power. (If you go with an LED try to get the shortest one you can. E12 candelabra base. And small LED's do notwork well with a dimmer. They tend to flicker.) Good luck
