Answer:	It costs only $13 so it's made in China, if it was made in New York it would cost $130, if London $230 :)
Question:	Where is the on/off switch for this lantern
Answer:	Just disassembled mine to make the lens "frosty" instead of clear (keep from burning my retinas!). There's a microswitch on top of the battery compartment. A long spring connected to the LED array presses against the switch to turn it off--extending obviously releases the switch. The battery compartment cover can be installed in 4 positions (rotating 90 degrees between). If not in the correct one of the 4, the spring would never press the normally-closed switch (opening the circuit and turning off the light). If your doesn't turn off, I'd suspect wrong orientation of the cover plate or that the spring has fallen off. Either would be a pretty simple fix. Curiously, I also found the long center screw was installed upside down. The bottom end plastic is shaped to capture the nut. It made initially disassembly slightly more difficult (you'll need a 7mm socket or open-ended wrench).

I didn't buy my original lantern on Amazon but I came to buy a replacement one and looked at the questions. Answer:	I don't find it harsh at all. But if you are looking for a lantern for more decorative purposes, while still providing light for a tabletop of diners, then look at the New Streamlight 44941 (it's the mini-me Siege) it runs on 3-AA batteries, has a smaller footprint, and at 200 lumens or less it is very subdued, subtle, and eye-easy. It also has a red-light mode that my wife called "darling". The lantern is just cute. For the record I have purchased 15 of the Siege 44931 and 4 of the 44941 since 2018 and I absolutely love them. I consider it to be the best camp lantern going. See my reviews.

Answer:	Yes very bright lol bright enough to light up a room . Even on the lowest light it's good.

Answer:	I would suspect that it should run for about 36-40 hours because the brightness is about twice as much as the low level. With three D batteries I think the lantern should run for at least the 40 hours.

Answer:	No. The whole thing is glued together pretty well (water resistant). It has LED bulbs, which should last beyond 15 years of continuous use.
Question:	How would they do as indoor lighting for more than a few hours
Answer:	Also keep in mind, you can also use AA batteries when using those cheap plastic adapters in which you insert an AA battery inside a plastic tube the size and shape of a D battery. I use my rechargeable AA batteries in those D battery adapters. True, you won't get the longer life that three D batteries provide, all I'm saying is if you consider D batteries cumbersome or you don't have any on hand, on the assumption that most p[people have AA batteries available, buy on Amazon and keep on hand the AA to D battery adapter , tubes, or sleeves.

Answer:	Hello! the only way to do that is to leave the device unplugged. Once the power goes out and the Blackout Flashlight is on, there is a on/off button so you can decide when to turn it off so you can safe some battery. You do can select if the Nightlight will be off or auto even when plugged. Hope this is helpful.
Question:	What is the diameter of the canopy
Answer:	I've had mine over 5 yrs and they've been dependable when no other "emergency" items have worked. I don't know how long the battery will last, but it's still a strong light...xfingers!! ;) yet. I sent all my kids these lights also. You just have to keep them plugged in, for those unpredictable power outages. I use mine as a flashlight, too. Very Handy. Good bargain/buy.
Question:	Is this the led model? the 8102-a138 is led. the go 8102 uses a regular bulb. this seems to be sold under the wrong description
Answer:	Yes, simply turn the switch on the side from auto to off and the night light will not come on. We choose not to use the night light feature on any of your Red Cross lights so we have all of them set to off. With the switch set to off there is no light until the power goes off then the light comes on.
Question:	Page describes as 11" high, color 6.5 - should that read 11" wide & 6.5" high
Answer:	Onlyna few hours. (continously on). I test all 4 of mine, twich each, and most of them lasted 3-4 hours. Only once once more than that... by hour 5, it was so dim, it only lit up maybe a few inches in front of it. Of course, the idea is that these will automatically turn on, allowing you to find and light your way, to either the power comes back on SHORTLY, OR to find your regular battery flash lights.

Answer:	The box that each bulb comes in, is 2-1/8 x 2-1/8 (wide) x 4-7/8" high. The bulb is about 1/2" shorter than the box, providing room for the caribbeaner. Visually ,the bulb's globe itself, appears to be about the size of an appliance bulb. Inside the globe, are 3 LED's with an attached battery pack.
