Installing Light Strips

These light strips have an adhesive attached to them so all you have to do is peel off the cover and stick them on.

When the surface that you are installing isn’t cleaned well, the light strips might eventually fall off. Don’t just wipe off the surface with your hand or a damp washcloth.

Use a cleaner to get all the dirt off the surface and then wipe it down with rubbing alcohol. This will remove dust or anything that will make the light strips lose their stickiness.

The outboard engine cover was really faded out so I taped off the Mercury side decals and scuffed the surface with fine scotch brite (don’t remember if it was the green or reddish pad) and then wiped it down with a clean alcohol pad. Sprayed it in 4 light coats, if you get too close or heavy it will run. Turned out GREAT!

Answer:	It didn't last long on my steps. Really not worth it if you live in a state that gets snow or drive on dirt roads a lot. Best option is bring to Line X dealer or Rhino Liner dealer. Its going to cost you but it will last! I found this to be a poor product. I actually had better luck with black PlastiDip.

Answer:	It should hold a standard theater projector. Just ensure that the locking knobs are tightened. There isn't a screw hole to secure the projector. You'll need to strap it down or apply non slip adhesives to the tray. An alternative would be to drill holes lining up to existing bottom holes and bolt it in. Hope that helps.

Answer:	You could adjust it to any height, up to its maximum. The drilled holes are for extra security to keep it from sliding back down. But you could tighten the nut enough to hold it wherever you want. You just won't have that added security. You could always put the pin at the next higher hole so that, if it did slide, it would only go a couple inches.

Answer:	No, my tv remote also does it too, it only does it if it’s in the same room. It’s because of the infrared (ir) signals put out by TV remotes and they are similar to those on the light controller.

Answer:	Yes it does, more color options than whats on the remote. Haven't had any problems.
Question:	How long does the battery last
Answer:	It doesn't have a battery - you plug it in. If you're referring to the battery in the remote, it's a cell battery and in my experience they rarely die. I've only had a couple actually die on me after a few years of use, but I always tend to have cell batteries on hand. They are easy to change and even with daily use they last a long time.

Answer:	I have tested it with a 600 Watts Oster Blender and a Bosch driller at the same time, because I had to cut the power plug, for use a Neutrik NAC3FC-HC PowerCon, and it doesn't pop, or be hot, It is made to be reliable so it was made like a main power strip, I also connect it a 1600w vacuum cleaner and not a problem

Answer:	Clamping Voltage = 400V. Surge Rating = 540 joules. Response Time = n/a. (Strangely, the response time is not available on the product website. I don't know if it means that it's a problem.) I would look elsewhere. There are a lot of other surge protectors that sell for less and provide better protection. It has a normal clamping voltage but its surge rating is low. So, it's going to stop working much earlier than other surge protectors. And, it's not like this really smooths out the line noise as it filters out only 20db (which is much lower than other devices). Frankly, I don't know why people would buy this, especially at this price ($30) and why it has a high rating. I guess the unit looks sturdy and looks like a heavy duty piece of equipment but it really isn't. The company is tricking you.
