Answer:	Yes, it has 6 or 7 different sound settings. I love ocean sounds but I'm not a huge fan of theirs. But if I didn't have an alexa echo dot, I would use for sure. I turn off sound and use amazon music sounds of ocean, thunderstorms, just rain or white noise. It is so relaxing.i love and use everyday.

Troubleshooting steps : During initial warm-up of your Lava Lamp, the coil in the globe may tend to stand on end or float to the top of the globe. If this happens, keep your Lava Lamp operating for four-hours or more to allow the secret solution to become completely melted. The coil should then automatically drop to its correct position at the bottom of the globe. If the coil does not drop down, then twirl the globe GENTLY in the base and the coil will drop. Do not shake and handle with care!

Question:	nd time running the lamp and all the wax started making this path to the top and not really doing what it normally would. 2 hours later the liquid level dropped and the wax is still stuck in this long glob at the top that extends to the bottom. It appears that the wax solidified abnormally and possibly air has gotten
Answer:	Mine did the same thing on the second time running. I called the manufacturer. They said run it 3-4 hours a night for 3 nights. If the same, let cool and turn bottle like you turn a doorknob, to the right and then back to center. Turn on again. Now the wax moved into the long glob and came down and just sits in a ball, waiting to flow upward. I called again, they said run it 10 hours a day for 3 days--if no change, call and they will mail a new one--no need to return old one. I will begin the 10 hour run tonight(1/2/15) and post an update. It also is no longer handled by Amazon, temporarily. Better off calling LavaLamp.com-1-800-336-5282. 8-5 cst.

Answer:	If you recall your grade school art class, Yellow + Blue = Green. The wax is yellow but appears green at times through the blue water.

Answer:	I keep mine on 24/7 and they tend to last about a year before they start dying - some a little more, some a little less. Each one is different, and has its own personality, truth be known. For best results, the 8 hours a day rule should be observed, but if you don't mind buying a new one every year you can run them all the time. You can also regulate their movement using aluminum foil ring inserts over the bulbs (thereby adjusting the heat). Loads of fun!!!

Approx. 8 hours. Then, turn the lamp on until the wax starts to soften, shut if off till it cools. Then turn it on again and run for 8 to 10 hours. This may result in a clear lamp. Difficult Lamps: Sometimes you will get stubborn wax. Please be sure you are letting the lamp run initially for about 6-8 hours, no more than 10 hours The lava becomes dormant after production until you start it up and it becomes a member of your family. Some lava takes a little longer to get moving than others. We suggest a 4 day cycle run to get your lamp moving. Run your lamp for 8 hours each day, consecutively. This should help get your lamps to start flowing properly. Four Ways to Ruin your Lava Lamp: 1. Do not loosen or remove the bottle cap on globe. Breaking the seal will ruin your lamp and void your warranty. 2. Do not move, shake or drop your Lava Lamp while “WARM”. The lamp will become cloudy and the lava will break apart. If this happens shut the lamp off immediately and let sit undisturbed for 24 hours. Then turn it back on and run as normal. Hopefully your lamp will run again unharmed. But there is a possibly that it will be damaged for good. 3. Do not place lamp in direct sunlight. The colors will fade. 4. Do not store in extreme cold or heat. This will affect the functionality of your lamp.

Answer:	Yes. I built a shelter for a couple of feral cats that were roaming in our neighborhood. I placed the shelter in the bushes right outside our house. I equipped the shelter with the Muranda Thermal Cat pad to keep the inside warm. It is currently set on high, which averages about 69 degrees, even with snow on top and outside the shelter. I should mention that every wall, including the top and bottom of the shelter, is insulated with a reflective insulating material. It's been outside for about six months and so far, it hasn't malfunctioned nor developed any signs of mold or mildew. I constructed the shelter from a 55 gal storage bin from Home Depot. I cut two entry/exit access doors, about two inches from the bottom, which keeps the inside mostly dry. the Pad is working great! No complaints at all!

Answer:	The reviewers seem to say that this product is just polyester stuffing. In other words, just as heat reflecting as a quilt. Did the seat cushions that you remember "crinkle"? If so, it was probably a cushion with a mylar layer. They can be quite warming, without actually having to create any heat (such as a lightweight hunter item). Answer:	Not all lava lamps are alike - some flow better than others, and I don't know why - either you get a good one or you don't. Once I turn mine on it takes about 15 - 20 minutes for some lava action to begin - and it starts with a column of semi-lucid lava rising from the floor of the jar - forming a sort of stalagmite. A few minutes later the lava has heated up a bit more, and begins 'erupting' from the bottom in different sized chunks that slowly wind and twist their way up to the top of the fluid, where it stays for a few moments as it cools and then begins its descent down to the bottom, to be reheated again, rising to the top in a different sized chunk. This continues for a few hours (all lamps are a bit different) ... then it loses it's mobility and kind of sits there. That's a sign to turn it off and let it sit for a few hours and cool off. When you get a good lamp - it's very cool to watch.

Answer:	For me it was very fluid at first, and it took about 30 minutes to get there; however, it was cloudy so I have been letting it sit still for quite a long time, so I'm not sure how long it will take to heat up now, but the water is very very clear, which I hope stays that way when run it again.

Once the lamp reaches this point then please turn the lamp off and allow it to cool completely, to where it doesn’t feel as if it’s been on, and then turn the lamp on again. You will want to do this several more times. It can take a bit longer with the larger lamps. However, by running the lamp in short bursts when you heat the wax up and then allow it to cool, it’s that cooling action that acts like Velcro pulling the tiny particles of wax together. The cloudiness is caused by small wax particles that have broken off. This often happens during shipping

Answer:	Read the manual should be okay to plug into a power strip or surge proctector.

Answer:	The manufacturer didn't design this for a 50W bulb. The fixture itself is rated at 25W and you risk fire by exceeding that. However, if you are hell-bent on rigging up your own fixture for higher wattage, as a former Engineer, I recommend the following: 1. Be sure the wiring & light fixture is rated for the size bulb you're going to put in there. 2. Add a dimmer switch as 50W is likely overkill risking burns and possible explosion of the bottle (see YouTube videos for Lava lamp explosions); 3. Don't touch the damn thing at higher wattage unless you enjoy intense pain.

Answer:	The one we got to give for Christmas was broken and they were out. We couldn’t get a refund because it was too late. Wasted money.

Answer:	It has a 25 watt light bulb and it does get hot. That is what melts the wax and makes it work. Put a ceramic coaster under it to protect your table.

Answer:	Not sure about ul listing, I've had these over a year and long sense discarded the box and materials they came in. They have caused no problems, have proven reliable, and I will purchase more for the garage and stand up crawl space under the house.
