They will sense bright lights in the room behind but when dark outside they will still come on when lights are on inside. Have had them for 2 years and use them all year. Replace batteries 3 times a year on average so far. Have not had to replace any bulbs yet. They twinkle very nicely and are a soft glowing light. Love then!

Answer:	I had read in the reviews that the silver bases have white lights and the golden based have yellow lights. I don't remember having the option, but I wanted silver/white. The candles I received have silver bases, but the lights are yellow/orange. I guess I wanted the artificial look. But these have the color of a real flame.

Answer:	I purchased them the end of Oct. rec'd them Oct 27th, this year put batteries in and turned them on. I choose to run them for 6 hours every evening and then manually turn them off. Question:	can i set them all on a table, set the remote for # of hours and then put them in the windows so that they will all turn on at the exact time
Answer:	This is not a scientific answer, but they don't seem as bright as my 4w incandescent bulbs. Therefore they might not "mix well" visually w/ the older incandescents. However, they are fine as a window candle. I didn't find the brightness range on the remote able to vary the bulb brightness significantly. I am satisfied with the product and would buy again.
Question:	Are the bulbs glass? I need a plastic bulb that won’t shatter if knocked over
Answer:	The flame is more orange than white.
Question:	Can the bulbs be replaced? if so, what size bulb will fit. i'd like to put in bulbs that shine white instead of yellow
Answer:	If you don’t want to use the timer just turn them on and off regularly don’t use the timer. At least that’s how my remote works .. hope that helps .
Question:	Does the suction hold it so it doesn't have to sit on a window sill
Answer:	Yes, most times. In general the remote range was quite dependable.

Answer:	I would say safely around 30 days! You can see then start to dim when it's near time to change the batteries.

Answer:	The flame was on the cool side, kind of bluish white, but VERY faint. If you're looking for something bright, look elsewhere. These were awful.
