Question:	I want to buy a weighted base instead of using the clamp. The base I'm looking at has a 1/2" diameter hole. Would that be compatible with the lamp
Answer:	Yes. I believe that will work. I made my own base from a natural stone and used my 1/2" drill concrete drill bit. It is a bit loose, but that was okay with me. If you have your own base, you may want one that has a set screw to take-up the slightly-less-than 1/2" diameter pin in the lamp part.
Question:	Can this be mounted on a wall
Answer:	I believe that it can be mounted on a wall, though i haven't tried it myself. The "upper" part of the clamp has holes and slots that could be used to mount it on a vertical surface with screws once the clamp is disassembled. It also includes holes that the lamp can be inserted into that are at 90-degree angles to the hole that's used when mounting on the edge of a desk. With the clamp mounted on the wall, one of these holes would point up, so the lamp could be inserted into that. However, I think the "elbow" of the lamp would have a tendency to bang against the wall above the clamp.
Question:	I want to clamp this on a vertical surface rather than a horizontal surface will this work
Answer:	I don't think so. The post at the bottom slides into the clamp/support base; I don't think it would hold vertically. And even if you glued it in place in the base, you'd have to allow 3" behind your vertical support. Try drawing a diagram of what you want to do to see if it might work for you. The lampshade does rotate axially at the top end of the arm, but not a full 360 degrees and the arm MAY extend completely. Remember as advised in many reviews to order a separate mount that is all metal. The one which comes with the lamp is plastic and won't stand much use.
Question:	Can i use a 100w grow light bulb
Answer:	A label on the inside of the shade says to use 100 watt type A bulb or 13 watt medium base CFL bulb. Hope this helps.

Answer:	You will look long and hard to find the exact replacement bulb - Circline fluorescent, T5 width, 25w, 6500K. Amazingly, Amazon doesn't sell them. Amazon customer service doesn't know, and gave me the number of the supplier - Advantus (http://shopadvantus.com/) 800-771-0529. Called, and they said they will sell to individuals, and are emailing me an order form. IMO Amazon should indicate in their listing exactly what bulb is needed, and either sell it or say where it can be found. But having looked for quite a while, my guess is that this is a very uncommon and hard to find bulb.

Answer:	I constantly move my lamps position around, using all 3 adjustable joints, and it stays where I put it without tightening any of the small nuts & bolts. I've never had to tightened those.
Question:	I want to use the lamp with a base I already have. The diameter of the base is 1/2 inch. Would they work together
Answer:	If you are referring to the socket base, the lamp has a standard screw type base, so a smaller socket would fit into the lamp with some considerable amount of rewiring. If you are referring to the stand base, the tube diameter which inserts into the base is 1/2 inch in diameter.
Question:	Does the arm actually stay put, or does it sag after you let go like some other lamps
Answer:	Both the arms and the base are really sturdy. The arm is adjustable, and where you drag it out and leave it, it just stays there. No sagging! I can pull the lamp by the head and move it around, and it stays where I leave it indefinitely.
Question:	Is the shade long / deep enough to fully surround a CFL bulb? CFL bulbs are longer than incandescents and stick out past the end of most shades
Answer:	The shade is fairly deep on this 12022 swing arm lamp. I use a standard incandescent 60 watt bulb with mine, and there is approx. 1" of air space from the end of the bulb to where the edge of the shade would intersect. Another measurement is approx. 5" from the electrical contact in the socket base to where the edge of the shade would intersect.

Answer:	FYI, the total length of the bulb utilized should not exceed 5.5'' (including the screw base). In addition, the lamp could work with a LED bulb 4W-6W/ energy saving bulb 8W-11W/ incandescent bulb 15W-25W (40W MAX). Moreover, the screw socket of the bulb has to be E26.

Question:	Can you hang the lamp shade upside down
Answer:	Do you mean the entire lamp itself? It has felt on the bottom of the base so there's really no way to attach it to the ceiling unless you or someone else you know is a really good jerry rigger of things. The shade itself cannot be turned upside down. It's attached to the base with 2 screws/bolts, one of the ones on mine was stripped when I received it so if the lamp is tilled the wire shade falls off.
Question:	Does the touch control allow me to go directly from Low to off
Answer:	No, you have to touch it 3 times; low medium and high.
Question:	Does the wire retract
Answer:	The cord does not retract. Is that what you mean?
Question:	I’m not finding an incandescent 3-way Edison bulb that is a 120v. What do you recommend
