Question:	Is this magnifier good for sewing, or would that be overkill
Answer:	Replacement lenses for this product come as either glass or acrylic plastic. This particular visor comes with a glass lens. If you need to replace the lens or would like to try a different power, then check carefully what you are buying because the many choices make it a little confusing. The plastic lenses will be cheaper in price, but both are listed as high quality lenses.
Question:	its show the magnifer over the right eye. can it be used over the left eye
Answer:	I'd bet your problem is the washer just under the knurled knob has a square hole in it. It must fit over the square part of the shank that the knurled knob screws onto. It is a tight fit and requires some fiddling to get it to line up. Maybe ask a friend to hold tension down on the washer assembly while you line up the square base of the shank into the square hole in the final washer and screw the knurled knob onto the threaded end of the shank. Be sure you have not lost the thin steel curved washers that give tension to the visor for raising and lowering it while you are wearing it.
Question:	Can I use this to give myself a pedicure
Answer:	I suspect that it may NOT be very comfortable wearing the OptiVisor while laying on back for long periods. There is a protruding knob on the back of the strap, to fit the headband, that sticks out about 1/4" (Not very visible from the photo) and two knobs on the sides to adjust the position of lenses. It may be OK if you need to wear it for a short while.

Answer:	I could not find any markings on it, but for that price I doubt it, it does work great.

Answer:	I'm not certain, mine came with batteries when it arrived in the mail. There is a small plastic cert that needs to be removed in order for the light to work. Unscrew the battery cap and remove that cert before use.

Answer:	If you mean is the diode removable from the head, itself, I haven't had any reason to try that. But if you mean removing the whole LED assy. from the fixture - yes, it is.

Answer:	I just received mine, in my opinion, it is not suitable for counted cross stitch. If you hold your work at the usual distance, it is too blurry. You have to hold your work about 11/2" to 2 " from your nose. I am past 60 and use reading glasses. I do think even with average eye site you'd have to hold the work that close of a distance. It would be great for getting a close up look at jewelry, model kits etc. I guess I'll have to spring for one of those lighted magnifiers on an arm.

Answer:	Yes, this can be done just by removing the screw on the left side and replace in the right one, then just position the loupe on the left side, I did the same thing since my best eye is the left.

Answer:	I tried it once. By the time I had twisted around in all directions (I'm 73) trying to see and hold my feet close enough and keeping them still, I had wiggled around until I fell off the couch and landed on the floor. Hilarious seeing this old lady trying to get up like a turtle on it's back! The only pedicuring I got was an unintended snip on my little toe. Not my toenail, but the flesh. Will not try that again. But it works really well for crocheting, tatting, knitting, reading when my eyes are hurting, plus many, many more things. I repaired an earring the other day with them. I agree with what DSE said. You need to be a contortionist!

Answer:	If you cut a small slit in the duct tape then the only difference is that duct tape doesn't sell for $1,000 per roll. Neither are very practical, but at least duct tape is affordable. You might want to try using a cheap adhesive bandage or one of the many removable/re-positionable tape products.
Question:	Can this be used as a survival pocket lighter
Answer:	I use a reusable gentle tape (it's expensive) made by 3M (3M 2770-2 Kind Removal Silicone Tape (Pack of 6) I cut a strip every night to use and have for years. I run through about one roll a month to 6 weeks. I have my humidity on 5% and there can be enough moisture to dislodge the tape or air escapes at the sides sometimes. I'm going to give these a go though I think they are wildly over priced.

Answer:	In my case the distance is from the eye. For the 2X lens the distance for me is 10 to 12 inches and varies slightly depending on the angle of the lens on the visor. I think the distance will vary Slightly from person to person depending on the status of your vision.

Answer:	Amazon will provide a tracking number when you item is shipped, however, they don't always use UPS, they have their own delivery system which, I find to be excellent as they will provide a location map (on your computer, smart cell, etc., usually starting when they are 10 stops away) of where your delivery is and it's a live map (updated frequently), which, makes it easy to know when the will be at your location!

Answer:	The only quibble I have with this magnifying glass is that, unless one is looking straight down through the middle, there is some distortion on the outer periphery of the visual field. If the user holds the glass over the intended object and peers straight down, the magnification is very good for any task.

Answer:	Sorry, have no idea what Focal Length is. Still have the Magnifier but I use it to make Parts of drawings or scribbled numbers on those drawings more clear. My reason to purchase a usable magnifier was to read the information on a medicine container or a vitamin bottle. Not quite sure how a manufacturer of a nutritional product expects anyone to be able to read font that is like 1 pica or about a 20th of an inch tall. I finally quit buying magnifiers when I found one with LED lights on it. Found the perfect one for that reason plus a lot of other possible reasons. Even when there is light available the magnifier throws a shadow on the object. But now I have a lit one similar to 'Stalwart 6 LED High Powered Magnifying Glass' at Amazon. Mine is nice blue like the top bar on Google Chrome. I didn't get it at Amazon, I just happened upon it when in some store for a different reason. Again sorry for not being familiar with Focal Length.

Answer:	I don't think the glass is actually 6x but it is stronger than my other magnifying glasses. It has a metal frame and is a good size to look though. I have had it for a couple of years and still use it often. I can't say whether it would be good for a 5-yr old as it has been a long time since I was one. I think it would be good for bug collecting though.

Answer:	The magnifier itself is glass. The frame is metal with a silvery finish, but I don't know what kind of metal. There are no plastic parts.

Answer:	yes. the lamp is held onto the arm with a nut.
Question:	Is this easily mountable to a workbench or will I need to buy an attachment
Answer:	They each appear to be the older less efficient basic generic LEDs usually running at around 64-72mw (.064-0.72 watts) to with a series resistor. Being older or basic LEDs, they're not as efficient as newer or better LEDs though. All 30 of them on, are much dimmer than a modern, good 2 watt LED. Perhaps only as bright as a modern 1 watt LED bulb. But I did let it run continuous for 8 hours 2 nights in a row on the 3, D sized batteries, & it only dimmed a little. A good D cell can have 10,000mah. These leds only draw around 20ma each, or 600ma for all 30 of them.
Question:	Is it possible to remove the lamp from the arm, e.g. unscrew it
Answer:	I used the lamp only occasionally; thus, the batteries latest for a long time.
