Answer:	If the LED bulb is the kind that you'd replace a standard incandescent bulb with, then yes. The base of the bulb needs to screw into the fixture. I'd imagine a compact fluorescent bulb would work too.

Answer:	Well, I use this lamp for examining my clients skin, I would say if you are sitting at a table or desk, it will touch your desk or table. It comes down pretty low. Now if you’re sitting in the floor, I would guesstimate it would lower to about 1.5 feet above the floor. I’ve not tried that, so I’m only guessing. But if at a table, absolutely will be quite low if not touching the table. I’m short and the table I use for clients to lay on is set low also, and never an issue. I hope this helps.
