My setup is MBUS gen 2 front rear and my 403c is sitting atop a solid acw 1.4 mount. If you want lower 1/3 co witness then you'll have to but a higher mount like 1.5 inch. I have it absolute co witness with my MBUS pop up irons. Your mileage may very depending on your mount and your MBUS pro's. Good luck.

Answer:	Not with this unit. Think it's suppose to last for several thousand hrs. and since I only use it several hrs a day, then I'm not too worried about that. But, It is a perfect light for me to attach to my small easel for painting. The different light temps make it nice to see paint colors with. And it is extremely adjustable and the clamps work great! For the price - I was very happy!

Answer:	I use the cylinder screwed to the wall, that receives the post at the lamp's bottom, so cannot say what the clamp material is.
