Question:	Hooked up correctly.....remote not working and lights not working......reversed positive and negative and got all lights on red
Answer:	without going and looking closely at the setup here - a couple of things come to mind - 1) we had a bad unit that lasted a couple days before it just stopped working. A replacement was sent and has been working for nearly a year now.2) reversing polarity - ( no - no ) I'm assuming that you are talking about the light strip output side? If you are reversing the polarity of the input voltage - and getting red lights - only - I'd assume that's due to the single direction of the transistors used and even though the unit is dead, ( or is now ) current is passing over an output transistor that would normally only pass current in the forward direction when activated by the circuitry.Lastly - ( long shot ) Check to make sure that your LED strips are of the proper "common" lead for this device. Strips connected to this device should have a common "Anode", or positive connection. Some strips are manufactured the other way around.

Question:	Has anyone gotten the 3.5mm input to work on this controller? Microphone works okay, but I cannot get it to use the stereo input instead
Answer:	I might do a little review of this product but I figured it out. I just bought it few days ago and had the same issue. I would hook up my 3.5mm to the controller but when the music was low and someone talked or a loud noise (not the music) happened the controller mic still picked up the sound and the lights would change to it. I figured it out. The 3.5mm Y aux cable (included) goes directly in the controller then the 3.5mm extension aux cable (included) goes to either your music device, phone, mp3, and then you need another 3.5mm aux cable (not included) to the stereo to which the music will be playing out of the speakers. Testing if it works, turn the speakers low or off and still have the music play through the music device and the lights should still be dancing to the beat of the music. Also with this setup just turn the music off from your music device and make LOUD NOISES to see if the mic picks up the sound and lights dance or not, it should not. I know I'm 7 months late to this question but better late than never.
