Answer:	It's a plastic guard for a single socket bulb. It might work on a ceiling fan light kit, but you will need to buy 1 for each bulb!

Answer:	Initially these were made for a drop cord light when you worked on cars. So the hook was for hanging underneath the hood of the car.

Answer:	I had the same problem when installing. If the screw doesn't fit on the right side of the tail light cover, switch them to the left side. One screw goes into the jeep body, the other just to the tail light cover.
