Answer:	I've made 6 of these now. My first I was upset that there was no way to insert the middle bulb holder except on one end. That end was perfect to hang with petals down or SIT on table or bowl or short base with petals up. I wanted to hang it petals up though. SO when my next 5 kits arrived I instantly took one out and positioned it around to draw slot holes were they match and also making sure they were equally between the two first end rows matching the other end. This now allows me or anyone I gift it to as a way to hang it either way up or down because all you have to do is remove the center bulb holder and put it on the other end. MUCH easier than what some folks said they did which was to remove all the petals and turn them around. There is some danger to damaging the petal tab ends and then having them pop out or not secure into the slots for those tabs. I can not understand why the makers do not put the slots or holes as some variations in makers may use slots for the bulb holder or holes punched instead. I've only bought ones with slots. Great gfits for teens for side lamps and add the touch of color changing remote controlled bulbs and they are in heaven..ok girls are for sure. But if you have friends that meditate or enjoy that kind of mood and atmosphere the color changing bulbs are great. I've bought close to 60 of those now. Also enjoying other puzzle lampshades both for gifts and in general camping/power outages and to light a covered back patio with no AC outlets..so we use power banks with USB lights LEDs usually 5 watts to 10 watts. They now make USB/LED color changing one with remote too and a dimming one. So have all of those and gifted a few of the straight day light ones along with one of the very expenive color changing. (A 3W color changing bulb can be had for as little as 3 dollars on Amazon from China or about ame in packs of 4 to 8 for a bit more from the Amazon fullfillment center. The LED/USB version I've only found on Amazon for 16 to 18 range it varies and only one seller SunJack. Onite is my favorite for regular LED/USB bulbs. You can put a light anywhere..even in your nursery as a night light dimmed way down. And just enjoy the whole portable idea.) If you do not make the slots in advance figure out which way you really want the lamp to hang petal up or down and then put the small petals on the far side of the horizontal slot end and work on up to the other end. The last piece to go in is the bulb holder. I gifted my first one to a friend and suggested if she wants it the other way hung up to try cutting a circle to tightly fit on the other end of the lamp with a hole in it to hang the bulb from. If it's a tight friction fit it ought to work as the lamp is not very heavy. She instead opted to sit it petals up with one of those RGB USB/LED lights with remote. EVERYONE Loves the color changing light bulbs and there i a huge variety of models out there but they are cooler though a bit warm so won't melt plastics.
Question:	How does it attach to a hanging light? Wondering if I need to purchase anything specific to replace the antique wicker shade with this
Answer:	It has a metal ring like a usual lamp shade - you need a fixture with a "nut" that the metal ring sits between that and the fixture that holds the bulb, and the nut screws to the fixture to tighten on and hold the shade.
Question:	After putting this together we used a hanging cord and attached a lightbulb. The lightbulb sits in the center plastic piece. How safe is that
Answer:	The circular plastic that hangs the lampshade together in the center needs something to bind it together. It's somewhat safe, but I would recommend to use something else to keep it together or else it will fall apart.

Answer:	The description online and on the box states specifically “silver” for it to be white and silver, “copper” for it to be white and copper, or “white” for all white. This one was silver and white.

Answer:	When I put mine together it used all the pieces. Wish I would have glued them!

Answer:	I think it would need air circulation to cool the bulb to prevent the plastic from melting. It probably could be suspended 1/2 inch below the ceiling, but would need gerry rigging. I hung mine from an established ceiling hanger using fishing line.
Question:	Can this be mounted to each bulb of an old style vanity fixture, you know, like Hollywood lights
Answer:	Yes. There isn't any type of wire to hold it on bulb. It is fairly large. Mine is hanging on an old light fixture in the hallway.
Question:	is this lamp bright enough to read by
Answer:	It's made for a 60 watt bulb. It's made of plastic that could get soft and melt at higher wattage. I have a fluorescent 22 watt bulbs in these that provide the equivalent of a 100 watt bulb. No problems with melting. They are quite large and hung from an 18 foot ceiling. The light is not quite bright enough for me to read at that distance. These shades are 24 inches across and seem too big for an ordinary table or floor lamp that could provide closer reading light.. I've seen pictures of these shades installed in an upward fashion in a floor lamp which directs light to the ceiling....not good for reading as the shade mutes most of the light. But.....I really loves these shades. They are very unique.

Answer:	Good question. I gave it as a Christmas gift. I did see it hanging in the dinning room of the person I gave it to. Her light bulb holder, and cord were black. I wondered about that, but she loved it.

Answer:	There is an internal frame you put in it to keep it open. I believe the hook at the top of the frame would keep it from being flush to the ceiling.
