Answer:	It can slice through an avocado if it was ripe and soft. Only small pieces no larger then a hard boiled egg. Do not try to slice through an avocado that is not fully ripened. It will break the slicing wires.

Answer:	The set slice thickness is too wide for one, so you'd probably get each grape cut in two; the recess in the bottom plate to sit the grapes in is also large enough to seat an egg which would not ensure that the grapes were always seated in the same relative position to the cutting wires. For all the effort involved to position the grapes in the same aspect to get uniform slicing from on to the next you'd be better off and quicker using a sharp tomato utility knife.
