Answer:	Hmmm. How do you judge loud. It’s not so loud that I have to raise my voice when it’s on. The cage is a little loose so that can rattle bit I put little spaces in to eliminate that. It is nicely directional and my application is to push colder air in the summertime from one room to the next. The wall mount keeps it out of the way. I like it and it solved my issue.

Make sure to mount this securely into ceiling joints or wall studs, it a powerful fan with significant weight. Mounting with just drywall anchors isn't likely to hold. The fan we received has some significant vibration which resonates through the wall. Expected it to be better balanced at this price.
