Both the fan's cord and the wall outlet "trip" occasionally in bad weather or when we have a momentary blackout/brownout from summer heat and they have to be reset with the buttons on the fan plug and the wall outlet (like on a hairdrier cord.) If my fan plug had not fit I would have tried to remove the outlet cover (which closes by a spring.) If I had been unable to do that, I would have used a grounded wet rated outdoor cord with a surge protector. Ive had the fan about 2 years. Unfortunately I went out of town for ten days and when I got back, the fan had "tripped." I turned it on and after struggling for a minute, I smelled burning rubber so I unplugged it. I'm pretty sure it's dead or dangerous. Going to track down the warranty papers and see if the company will fix it under the 3 year warranty. |

| Answer: | It depends on how low your ceiling is. I have ceilings around 8 ft and a tail person would have to be careful to avoid it. |

| Answer: | The blades are at about 9 inches, from ceiling to the lowest point. Total hight once istalled is about 12 inches from ceiling to the lowest point (lamp). |

| Answer: | I just answered my own question. The LED lights in this fan cannot be replaced. I called Lowe's Harbor Breeze customer service department at 1-800-643-0067 and they confirmed this. If you want a bright light, you don't want this fan. |
