Answer:	Update: My apologies, please disregarded the remarks below because the answer should have been: Don't know because I haven't tried them yet, however, from experience, Soft White usually denotes a yellowish cast light. Cool White is brighter and more towards white, while Daylight is like high noon, the whitest.Yes, its definitely white light. My cover is opaque so the cool white or soft white cast either a pink or yellow light which I disliked. The bulbs are dimmable so adjust to you liking. It did take a little getting use to after years of dim lighting but I really prefer the true "white" light especially in the winter.

Fan is much quieter around middle speed, it becomes almost silent. Back to full speed with max airflow is needed. My rule of thumb is to dial the speed up to where there is no hum coming from the electric motors (I suspect this sound isn't a good thing, so I dial up speed until it goes away).
