Question:	I'm on my second unit, I installed the fan and remote at the same time. about two or three weeks later the remote stops working. Any answers
Answer:	I presume that you did check to make sure that the wall switch was in the "ON" position when the failure occurred. You basically have two switches in series. Both must be in the "CLOSED" or "ON" position for proper functioning. If the wall switch was "ON" and the battery was good as indicated by the LED then it could be a defective receiver. If there are solid state components in the receiver then a failure in the first few weeks is almost more likely than after 5 years since the tiniest spec of dirt migrating on the solid-state devices can cause failure. This kind of dirt migration usually happens in the first 90 days after warm up and cool down cycles.
Question:	They write the receiver must fit in the canopy but they don`t provide receiver dimension. Very bad! Does anyone have a photo of the receiver with size
Answer:	The average receiver is approximately 3 1/2" long, 2 1/4" wide, and 1/2" thick. I have installed 15-20 of them and never encountered a receiver that would not fir within the fan canopy. Some flush mount ceiling fan canopies are tight but newer model fans accommodate most receivers.
Question:	does it work with hunter
Answer:	Yes, it works with any Hunter fan. I bought 2 different Hunter fans and it works perfectly with both!
Question:	Can this be used right away to replace my damaged one, or do you need to take the fan apart
Answer:	It cannot be used right away out of the box. You have to take the fan apart. This remote comes with a specific receiver that you have to use and replace your old receiver with. If your fan has the receiver in the main manifold of the fan, the big part the blades are actually attached to, then I would recommend just getting another fan. Taking apart the main motor housing is a pain. If the receiver is in the base part of the fan, where the support/mounting pole meets the ceiling, in the little dome, you can pop off the molding and rewire the new receiver in place.I bought 2 of these remotes as replacements hoping I could just reprogram them via frequency dip switches (like a lot of other fan remotes have) and not have to replace the old receiver in the fan and go through the hassle of rewiring it, but that ins't possible with this remote. The receiver unit must be replaced with the one that comes in the packaging. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Gsh923 is incorrect. This states 'wireless' in the title description. This switch allows you to turn the fan/light on or off at the wall switch location, as well as using the handheld remote. If you have a ceiling fan/light combo and use regular wall switches, you have to use 2 separate switches, one for the fan and one for the light. If you install a remote control unit (handheld transmitter and canopy receiver) you must use only one regular wall switch, which will send power to the remote receiver, the regular wall switch will only send on/off power to the transmitter, and you must use a handheld remote to turn the fan AND/OR light on or off. THIS WIRELESS wall switch functions as both a wall switch allowing you to turn light and/or fan on OR off, AND it also functions as a transmitter (the same function as the handheld remote), so, for example, when you enter a room, you don't have to stumble around looking for a remote so you can turn on the light, instead you can switch the light on from the wall, and still turn the light off with the remote once you're in bed. This wall switch is meant to be used with a 16-code, 4-pin remote control system. What that 16 and 4 means is that on the receiver (the part that goes inside the canopy on the ceiling fan) there are 4 small 'pin' type switches, and there are 16 possible setting combinations (codes). Those different codes allow you to multiple remotes without interference (so your living room remote doesn't turn on/off your bedroom fan/light and vice versa. This switch includes one wall switch which also functions as a transmitter, and it includes one receiver (the part that goes inside the ceiling fan canopy). It does not include the wireless hand-held remote, you have to puchase that separately. Amazon has those as well as any of the big box stores. Just make sure to you set the code the same on the wall switch, the handheld remote, and the receiver.

Answer:	Probably. The exact same thing happened to me, and the switch was bad. Mine only lasted a few months. In my case, it was VERY painful to replace the ceiling part, but swapping in a new wall switch worked. I would not buy this brand again.

Question:	what are the dimensions of the fountain
Answer:	The Pierre ceiling fan cannot be installed on a sloped ceiling without a separate 45 degree cathedral ceiling fan canopy kit. This is a separate purchase. The white finish 45 degree cathedral canopy kit is our item 7002900. Westinghouse does not carry a 4 foot down rod but you can use another manufacturers down rod as long as it is a 3/4" diameter down rod.
Question:	What kind of material is this fountain constructed from? Resin, ceramic...? Also, is the material painted or natural? Thanks for the help
Answer:	Yes, the remote control does have a reverse switch located on it to be able to change the direction of the fan.
Question:	I would like to place this INDOORS, is SPLASHING a concern i.e. does water splash out of the fountain onto the flooring/rugs
Answer:	The Pierre ceiling fan comes with an included remote control and needs to be used with this included remote control. We do not recommend using a wall control with this fan.
Question:	Will this drown out background noise
Answer:	This ceiling fan will hang down 16.3" from the top of the ceiling to the bottom of the glass.

Question:	Is this compatible with a Casablanca 54010 fan w/5 speeds on pullchain
Answer:	This is a 4 speed ceiling fan wall control so it would change the fan from 5 speeds to 4 speeds. You should check with Casablanca to see if this type of controller will work with your fan.
Question:	Can I take off the cover it comes with? I'd like to put this on a 3-switch panel
Answer:	I'm sorry but it's impossible for us to tell if the cover is removable as it is in a sealed package.
Question:	Does this control model number 7861400 fan? the large box control came with 5 speeeds and a reverse, how do know if fan is turning the right way
Answer:	Westinghouse 7861400 Industrial fan doesn't reverse so it only has one direction. That control should work for that fan as well. 800-724-5501
Question:	Does its feet standard Gewiss box
