Answer:	what this means is that while (yes) you can install this light in with the socket facing up or down, the flames only move from the socket towards the end of the bulb. Meaning that if you install this in a normal lamp then tyhe flames will look normal as if a fire is burning and the flames are extending from the bottom of the bulb and moving upward. In an installation where the bulb is mounted upside down, it will look like the flames are shooting downward from the inverted socket toward the floor.

Answer:	Of course you can, but forget the long freaking extension cord and Tesla coils that were suggested. I would drag a big old honking generator in there with you, one of those 5000 watt types... oh yeah, don't forget several 5 gallon cans of gas, you will need the extra fuel for extended stays in the cave.
