Answer:	Yes, there is a slight delay (half second). When compared to other LED bulbs that are "instant-on", I would not consider these "instant-on". If you have a fixture with multiple bulbs and you replace one with one of these you will definitely notice the delay. If you use all of these in your fixture then you may not notice it that much.

Question:	Can these be dimmed? I am seeing conflicting information so looking for a solid answer
Answer:	A bulb failed after just 5 hours in an enclosure. Here is Philips' response: "Currently the Hue bulbs are not designed to work in ceiling fan fixtures or enclosed fixtures. Having your Hue bulbs in these application will cause your Hue bulbs to fail and void their warranty. With your bulbs being used in this application we will not be able to warranty your Hue bulb at this time."
Question:	Is it possible to set up without plugging into router ? ie- wirelessly
Answer:	You can dim them by saying "Alexa, dim lights" or "Alexa lights at maximum brightness", etc. As for changing colors, yes and no. You can have her change scenes, which would change colors but not just like "Alexa, change light #1 to blue". Sadly that's not possible at this time. I've read that there is a third party app that can let you do that, but if it exists, it's not ubiquitously known on account of it.
Question:	Is this an international item? Will be using in the US
Answer:	OK, here is what I found... The round hub is generation 1, the square hub (with rounded corners) is gen 2. Currently there is no gen 3 hub. You know you are getting gen 3 bulbs if you see the small emblem in the top right that says, "Richer Colors". Please note that the wrong photos of the item are being show periodically. Be prepared to check before you unpack your package.

Answer:	These are 60 watts + brightness at 6 watt usage.

Answer:	I’m not sure since I’m not using the bulb with any shade. It is close in size to a regular incandescent bulb at the top and it appears like it may work but it it’s long design might not accommodate the clip of the shade to clasp around the bulb and because it lacks the bulb head shape.

Answer:	Mine did not come with carbon filters just stainless steel baffles that go in the dishwasher. Just got the hood so don’t know about the lights they last 10 years so not worried about that for awhile

Answer:	I don't think you need one. We have 9 ft ceilings and set it at the highest adjustment to allow for a more comfortable work area and better looking island. The exhaust is perfectly adequate for the bigger gap between stove and hood. . Should be fine to set at the lower point for 10 ft ceilings.

Answer:	All E26 (common bulb base) Hue bulbs operate at a max 7.5-9.5 W and output an average of 800 lm at 2700-4000 K (warm white-natural white).

Answer:	The “white” bulb is the simplest; on, off, dim. The “white ambiance” allows you to change the color temperature (K) of the white from warm white to cool white.
Question:	Can i still use my normal light switch
Answer:	Yes, and no. You can still use the normal light switch to turn the bulb on and off. However, when you have the light switch off there is no power to the bulb and therefore it cannot be turned on with the Hue button (or any other device). Also, you can set the 'power-on behavior'. If you set the power-on behavior to on, then you turn off the light switch and on the switch the bulb will go to the power-on behavior. So if the bulb is off and the Hue button is too far away, you can turn the switch off and then on and the bulb will come on.
