Answer:	My experience with trying to dim LED lights is that the technology for the dimmers isn't good enough to work properly. My dimmer switch for a bedroom lamp burned out from trying this. Best to use LEDs only for non-dimming purposes, stick with incandescent for dimming. Hopefully this will be changing.

Answer:	Contrary to most opinions here, it has nothing to do with Title 20 - the specs for these bulbs are way above Title 20 requirements. The reason this doesn't ship to CA (while smaller packs of the exact same light bulb do) is because of Proposition 65, related to the cancer warning on the packaging. This SKU doesn't have the warning on the package, while the smaller boxes do. The "lots of dim bulbs in CA" comment was really funny BTW. Maybe they should pass a proposition about that.

Answer:	Approximately 8" from the bottom of the dome to the top of the handle (about 51/2 without handle) and approx. 10 /4" in diameter

Answer:	When the whole thing is together like pictured it's just shy of 11 inches. When measuring just the stand without the dome, it's just shy of 4.5" to the lip. The cake will sit a little lower than 4.5" since the actual 'flat' of the base is a little lower than the lip of the plate base. The dome is just shy of 7" including the glass ball on top. The functional space of the dome inside where the cake can fit is about 4" high with a 12" diameter across. That's enough space to hold the average three layer cake but a four layer cake is tight.
Question:	Is the 2700K good for desk lamp
Answer:	It accommodates a standard two-layer, 9" cake (standard recipe or box), with simple home decorating. But getting the dome on without hitting the icing felt a little like playing "Operation", so I don't think it would work with a wider cake, or with elaborate flowers around the outside or top edge of the cake. I can't say for sure about a three-layer cake with simple icing, since I assume that means each layer would be thinner, right? There's about 3.75" clearance under the dome at the outer edge of my cake. So it depends how high the 3-layers with icing is. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I just measured the inside of the dome and unfortunately it appears to be just a hair over 11". I think 11.2" won't fit.

Answer:	Marble is a material that will soak up any wet or slightly moist treats. Example- I made cupcakes and placed them nicely inside the cake dish and a few hours later there were moistures marks left behind. To this day I have not been able to get them out completely. I clean the slab itself with a damp warm cloth and mild soap (dawn) the top glass dome is very well made and is heavy I stick it in the dishwasher with a heat dry and it comes out perfect. This is a beautiful cake dish but it is a bit high maintenance so proceed with what will work best for you.

Answer:	The base for this item is made of 'Stainless Steel (200 Series)'. We currently recommend hand wash only for the unit, so if you did choose to paint the base, we would still recommend hand wash only. Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm how well paint will stick to the base as it would really depend on the primer & paint being used as well as the chosen cleaning agent.
