Answer:	No. Water will get thru the rubber flange. They use PAR38. LIGHTS @Wallmart 2 for 9.99. I have tried the soft white which to me come off yelloish. Get bright white or daylight for a strong white light. They carry these light holders for 1/2 the price. Home Depo carries the protective cover to protect the electrical plug from the elements. Together they cost what one receptical on amazon costs. My lights from amazon only lasted a few months. I now have 12 walmart plus protecters throughout my yard and lighting up the entire front of my home all on a walmart dusk to dawn timer. Extension cords: Big Lots is cheapest and everything is green. Hope that's not TMI

Answer:	80 is a low CRI that many/most people will find unacceptable for living space use, like the color rendition from low quality CFLs. Low CRIs cause the appearance of colors to shift. In particular you will strongly prefer not to illuminate food preparation or dining areas with low CRI lighting. Most people will find color rendition acceptable starting somewhere at or above CRI 90. For me that's 93 or 95 or luck with "90+" whatever that means. When beginning to replace bulbs, I usually buy 4-6 packs of several brands and start from there.

Answer:	I am a home inspector and general contractor. I do not have a flicker in any of my lights. I have 31 of these installed in my home and none of them flicker. It sounds like these bulbs are too sensitive to the circuitry in your home. Depending on your geographic location, building codes vary. My lights are required by local code to be segregated on a light circuit so my microwave, etc. are all on separate circuits from lighting. Therefore, I do not get the interference and flickering in my lights from appliances, etc. It is not likely to be the light. It is likely the way your home is wired.
