How many pages per letter

Answer:

Most have 3 double sided . Space for only 3 names/address on each side (ie space for 18 names total). A few letters only 2 double sided. Example X,Y,Z only have 2 in my book (12 names). You do receive 4 additional address pages but not able to insert where you want. Book is bound. Beautiful book but I would have liked at least one additional page per letter. . Also includes separate birthday & Christmas card list pages.

Answer:	The answer "ROES-50 system uses a high quality, .0001 micron Reverse Osmosis membrane and 3 carbon filters so it is designed to remove high levels of hormones and pharmaceutical drugs from water" is troublesome. Terms like "high quality" and "high levels" are arbitrary, and it's a safe bet people don't want arbitrary amounts of contaminants removed.
Question:	Hi apec, i see your offshore imitator is offering transparent 1st stage filter housings, why don't you offer one as well
Answer:	I bought the ROES-50 RO system in January 2016 and for the most part it has been great. Bought the pump to go with it as well as an auxiliary accumulator tank to use in addition to the smaller bladder tank that comes with the system so we can draw a couple of gallons of RO water at near full pressure at one go (set to 60 psi), and have the output plumbed to the sink faucet and two refrigerators with ice makers and water dispensers. I say all of this to say that I change the filters quite a bit and that it would be nice to be able to see the condition of the filters without having to shut off the supply from the house plumbing, and shut off both of the pressure tank valves as well as the system backfeed valve I installed just to get a look at the filters. I have a well and have two of the "dreaded" clear Whirlpool whole home water filter units, one at point of entry before the well bladder tank, and one after my water softener system and before my UV sterilizer, both of which have been in service for 18 years without issue. Everything is installed in my utility room on the wall for easy access, and I replace the O-rings in the filter housings about every third filter change and wash the housings out with a bleach solution, rinse them well and lubricate the O-rings with silicone grease when installing new filters every time I change a filter, and never ever tighten any of them tighter than hand tight unless there is a drip, but I can't recall there ever being one. I don't understand why people have filter housings break unless they are being over tightened, installed in a harsh environment exposed to the elements, or somewhere where they are subject to being hit with things and getting damaged physically, or in direct sunlight and subjected to UV radiation. Therefore I wish there was an option to purchase clear housings for the ROES-50 filters in order to make proper maintenance as easy as the rest of my system, because other than that, the only complaint I have with the ROES-50 is that the white bladder tank that came with it leaks air and I have to repressurize it about every six months. The larger blue auxiliary tank I bought has yet to need to be repressurized.

Question:	Does it require professional installation? I have no idea what goes on under my sink
Answer:	The system is packaged with the idea of do it yourself so you don't have to get professional help. Many of our customers were able to install it themselves by following the very comprehensive installation manual that we include in the package. We even have a video on youtube that shows how to install our system step by step. However, if you are not comfortable installing the system, any local plumber should have no trouble installing it for you in an hour or so at most.
Question:	Can I hook it up to the ice maker on my fridge and use the included water faucet
Answer:	Our system can be hooked up to the ice-maker on the fridge with proper connections. It can either be tee off so that it sends water to both the included faucet and the ice-maker or to the ice-maker or our included faucet by itself.
Question:	How often do the filters need replacing and what is the cost
Answer:	I use a 1-3-5 year schedule and my filter works as well now as the day I installed it: * Every year I replace the first three stages or the large vertical filters @$30-$50 if purchased separately * Every three years I replace the fifth stage filter, horizontal filter on the top @$20-$30 if purchased separately * Every five years I replace the fourth stage reverse osmosis filter @$30-$40 if purchased separately You can usually get a discount and get all five stages for @$125-$135. If you try to save money and not replace your filters as scheduled, you will probably foul up the stages behind it even faster. For example, if you try to save money by not replacing the first three filter stages you will end up having to replace stages four and five way more often. Answer:	The efficacy and longevity of any filtration element -- including the membrane -- is subjective according to your local water quality. It's possible that you got a defective membrane, but my personal experience with these is that it starts off with super low TDS when freshly installed, and then TDS gradually increases for a little while until it levels-off. If you're going to watch the numbers: always compare to your pre-filter readings, because you should be looking at the relative decrease in TDS and not the seeking same numbers as someone else using this product in a completely different location. I've had the same membrane (from this manufacturer) for almost 3 years now, and -- while it did start at 12 -- it's been holding at around 40 for a while, which is still 90% or more lower than straight out of the tap.

Answer:	This unit uses the standard ice maker diameter hose. It is best to put the the supplied valve as close to source as possible. You would need a t adapter BEFORE the supplied valve in order to split off two ways to the fridge and to the valve. This t adapter is not supplied and the supplied valve may not fit your American piping. Be prepared to make adjustments to the installation. Installation was not hard, but patience and a trip to the hardware store should be expected. It is important to make the water split before the valve because the flow will have to be turned off many times during installation, if there is a leak and when flushing the filters. Otherwise, you are cutting water off the fridge unnecessarily.

Question:	Can this system work with my fridge ice maker and facet
Answer:	An RO system should remove calcium chloride from your water, this system by EW will strip the water of all mineral content, then it adds back minerals for taste and water quality. This system is easy to set up, but it has a limited flow through, ie GPM. You might also consider adding a conditioner unit at the entry point for the water service. There are some anti scale magnets and other low cost devices to curtail the hard water precipitation. This would protect your interior plumbing from scaling and erosion.
