Question:	Does this filter remove hormones
Answer:	The answer "ROES-50 system uses a high quality, .0001 micron Reverse Osmosis membrane and 3 carbon filters so it is designed to remove high levels of hormones and pharmaceutical drugs from water" is troublesome. Terms like "high quality" and "high levels" are arbitrary, and it's a safe bet people don't want arbitrary amounts of contaminants removed.
Question:	Hi apec, i see your offshore imitator is offering transparent 1st stage filter housings, why don't you offer one as well
Answer:	I bought the ROES-50 RO system in January 2016 and for the most part it has been great. Bought the pump to go with it as well as an auxiliary accumulator tank to use in addition to the smaller bladder tank that comes with the system so we can draw a couple of gallons of RO water at near full pressure at one go (set to 60 psi), and have the output plumbed to the sink faucet and two refrigerators with ice makers and water dispensers. I say all of this to say that I change the filters quite a bit and that it would be nice to be able to see the condition of the filters without having to shut off the supply from the house plumbing, and shut off both of the pressure tank valves as well as the system backfeed valve I installed just to get a look at the filters. I have a well and have two of the "dreaded" clear Whirlpool whole home water filter units, one at point of entry before the well bladder tank, and one after my water softener system and before my UV sterilizer, both of which have been in service for 18 years without issue. Everything is installed in my utility room on the wall for easy access, and I replace the O-rings in the filter housings about every third filter change and wash the housings out with a bleach solution, rinse them well and lubricate the O-rings with silicone grease when installing new filters every time I change a filter, and never ever tighten any of them tighter than hand tight unless there is a drip, but I can't recall there ever being one. I don't understand why people have filter housings break unless they are being over tightened, installed in a harsh environment exposed to the elements, or somewhere where they are subject to being hit with things and getting damaged physically, or in direct sunlight and subjected to UV radiation. Therefore I wish there was an option to purchase clear housings for the ROES-50 filters in order to make proper maintenance as easy as the rest of my system, because other than that, the only complaint I have with the ROES-50 is that the white bladder tank that came with it leaks air and I have to repressurize it about every six months. The larger blue auxiliary tank I bought has yet to need to be repressurized.

Answer:	May I ask did you read the garment's label before setting up the temperature mode? We're afraid the temperature you selected was too high thus the ceramic plate is dyed. As for this issue, we kindly suggest you preheat the iron at the highest setting and iron over a damp, 100% cotton cloth. This creates heavy steam that transfers residue from the soleplate to the cloth.

It might take a week for the tank to fill to maximum capacity as it is a 500 gallon per day system. Please do keep in mind the 500 gallon per day is based on if the water condition is perfect so the actually number might vary slightly due to water pressure, temperature, ppm, and contaminant levels. Question:	Does it make sence to upgrade this system with deionization filter when it has alkaline filter
Answer:	Smart Flow Sensor Switch powers on/off UV light automatically by water flow, so it must be installed after the storage tank where water flow is high enough, if you install it before the storage tank the water flow will be to slow for the Sensor Switch to turn the light on.
Question:	Is there an indicator that tells you when the filters need replacing, or do you guess ~6 months for uv light and the ph cartridge & 12 for membrane
Answer:	TWS is more powerful than ows. 55w compare to 40W. We normally suggest our customer install the OWS unit horizontally. Cause vertically installation might need extra support if the pipe is plastic. But that was not a problem for TWS system.
Question:	how many gallons of water is wasted to make 1 gallon of filtered water
Answer:	As long as you protect it from freezing, it has to be plugged in, we have it installed inside. We are on a well, have a sediment filter, a carbon filter then the UV water purifier installed in the same line. Going to get a test kit and test the water for bacteria and see how well it does.

Question:	What about maintenance and filter changing and ph additives? How much do filters and additives cost
Answer:	providing you have adequate storage and do not exceed 300 G per day total usage for these, it will. I have 90 gal storage and it handles my entire house hot water usage including washing machine and dishwasher. I have, however, only one could water facet connected to it for drinking and cooking water. In other facets, it mixes with "untreated" cold water still lowering its TDS etc. by default. Do not see much reason to wash my hands or flush toiltes with RO treated water.

Answer:	Some of Dwayne's answer is correct and some of it is technically incorrect. The correct part isSome of Dwayne's answer is correct and some of it is technically incorrect. A water softener actually increases TDS slightly but is almost always necessary because the calcium, magnesium and iron it removes (hard water) WILL prematurely plug up a membrane while the sodium it puts back in the water to replace what it removed will not. The reverse osmosis membrane does the actual TDS reduction (not the water softener). As for the 4000 TDS, that is at or above the reach of many RO systems. If I were in your situation I would get a reliable method of testing the TDS as Dwayne was eluding to unless you are positive the 4000 number is correct and call the manufacturer with your results. Explain what you're trying to accomplish and the equipment you're planning to use including the size and type of water softener and pre filter you plan to use and see if they will agree that you are on the right path. If they say the water is too high in TDS for the equipment then Dwayne is right and you will be making a costly mistake. Also, based on the water I work with, TDS in that range goes hand in hand with water containing high sodium and chloride (salt). When this happens, the salt setting on the water softener needs to be set at the maximum level or it won't work properly. Another thing that often happens is that water with high salt generally has low hardness. If you have it tested and the hardness is low, say under 3 grains per gallon (51 ppm) you may be fine without a water softener, or a smaller system may be adequate. However, if there is any iron at all, it MUST be removed with a pre filter for ferric (oxidized) iron and a water softener or automatic backwashing iron filter for ferric and/or ferrous (dissolved iron). If either type of filter is used, install it before the water softener but if the automatic filter is used there is no need for the pre filter except there should be at least one 5 micron filter placed in front of the RO membrane if the system is not already equipped with one.
Question:	Can you use any standard kitchen faucet with the filter? Or does it need to be this special unit? If not, is there a way to order it without the fauce
Answer:	Well, RO water is a bit aggressive to copper however I have used a whole house RO system in all my homes for the past 40 years and never had an issue!

Q: With this whole house system, do I still need to install a water softener if my water is very hard?

A: Yes, a water softener is needed if your source water has a high level of hardness, usually with TDS higher than 700 PPM. Hard water can reduce the lifespan of whole house water filter cartridges. The harder the water, the greater amount of scale buildup occurs, and the sooner the filters get clogged.

This whole house water filter can remove up to 95% of sediment, chlorine, rust, pesticides, herbicides, industrial solvents, VOCs, and various other contaminants that a regular water softener can't, although it does not soften your water. It is recommended that you install this WGB32B series whole house system after your water softener to achieve optimal performance if you have hard water.

Question:	What specific part upgrades this to 100 gallons per day? is it a larger booster pump than the 75 gpd model
Answer:	The booster pump only increases the pressure to the membrane to make the reverse osmosis process faster and more efficient. It does not increase pressure to the RO faucet. ThIs System includes a membrane that has more surface area and therefore can produce the 100 gallons per day (GPD). They make several variations of this same size part, but they cost more when the surface area is increased so as to be able to produce more “clean” water.

Question:	is this system suitable for a coffee shop expresso machine, how much does it restrict water volume flow
Answer:	The filters are particle filters and do a tremendous job in removing any sediment larger than 5 micron. The secondary filter can be a carbon filter and it helps remove some of the items that have tastes or smells associated with them. I am on the end of a municipal water system and the amount of particle contamination is high. These filters took care of all of my concerns and I suggest you read the manufacturers information and base your decision on their design specifications. I believe you should be happy with these as a purchase!

WECO HydroSense commercial reverse osmosis filter uses multiple stages of water filtration to create pure drinking water, ideal for residential use, medical offices, laboratories, schools, aquariums and hydroponic growing operations. The process starts by removing tiny particles like rust, silt, and insect parts. This protects your family and prevents the filtration systems from clogging. Next, the water flows through 5-micron and 0.5-micron activated carbon block cartridges. These compressed carbon block filters remove taste and odor-causing chemicals like chlorine, chloramine and rotten-egg odors. Chlorine disinfection process can create cancer-causing byproducts in the water. These carcinogens, called THMs, are removed by the carbon filters. The carbon cartridges also remove organic contaminants like herbicides, insecticides and industrial chemicals that seep into groundwater. The next step involves the reverse osmosis (RO) process. Here the water pressure is boosted and water is “squeezed” through a special membrane. Heavy metals, like lead and mercury, are removed while purified water passes through. Answer:	Two aspects to this question: 1. Does this provide enough water for your needs. This depends on the volume of water you anticipate needing. 2. Do you want RO water for your espresso? Personally, I have found the RO water leaving my coffee underwhelming. I'm going to give 3rd wave a try to enhance my RO water.
